On the way, I used my time to prepare a plan, though I hadn’t been given much information. All I knew was that the shipment would make a layover on one of the orbital stations around Mestay II, the system’s gate world, before it would be transferred to the cargo ship that would carry it on the long haul to Mestay VI. I hoped I’d be able to catch it before it left the station, but even with the Dagger, the timing would be tight.
