Ravana laughs slowly and loosens her hands when Ben holds her hands and presses them on his stomach.
“You are not disturbing…” He says softly.
Ravana's eyes get bigger in surprise. She stares at Ben's shoulder. He does look like a full-grown man from behind. She laughs. Ben gets embarrassed and lets her hands go.
“Why are you laughing?” He pouts looking behind.
“I was thinking that you look like a full-grown man from behind.”
“What do you mean! I am a grown man! I am turning twenty-three soon!”
“Oh big boy!” Ravana caresses Ben's hair.
Ben pouts and focuses on cooking. Ravana smiles and takes a step back. She sees her reflection on the knife.
"Is this how desperate I look!" She thinks. Her eyes are covered in an unknown pain.
“The dinner is ready!” Ben says loudly.
“It smells good.”
Ravana shouts like a baby. They sit at the dinner table. Ben serves dinner in front of Ravana. She takes a bite and looks at Ben being shocked.
“It tastes too good!”
“Hehe! I am good at cooking.”
Ben takes pride in his cooking. After eating they sit in the hall. Ben looks around the mansion and says,
“Aren't you scared of living here alone?”
“I am.”
Ravana says without any pauses. As if it's an obvious answer.
“Then why do you live here?” Ben adds.
“We all live with some fear.”
“I know but still…”
“I got over my worst fear. I can deal with these small ones.”
“What was your worst fear?”
“The fear of losing the people I love…”
Ben looks at her.
“Have you ever loved anyone?” He asks slowly.
Ravana looks at Ben. His eyes are looking kind of serious and sad at the same time. She doesn’t answer.
“Have you got married?” Ben asks again.
Ravana's eyes spark a bit. Ben keeps staring into her eyes. Ben was about to say something when Ravana smiled at him. Her smile is too painful to watch. Ben can't ask anything more. He just looks down thinking he made a mistake. He shouldn’t have asked that.
“Do tell me if you need any advice. I made all the mistakes in one life.” Ravana softly says.
Ravana laughs as she talks. Ben looks at her. He realizes he knows nothing about this woman. She is nothing like what he thought she would be. But still, she is driving him crazy.
“I can't get you off my mind!” Ben thinks louder.
Ravana looks at him, surprised. They keep looking at each other. Ravana stands up.
“Thanks for the dinner. Good night.” Ravana leaves from there.
Ben doesn’t say anything and stays there. He doesn’t know where his life is going anymore.
