Ravana is sitting in her cabin working when Robert barges in.
“Queen…” Robert enthusiastically addresses her.
“When will you learn to knock?” Ravana looks at him and says.
“The door was open.”
He sits in front of her. Ravana focuses on her work.
“Where is Donzai?” Robert says, looking around.
“His cabin is in the next room…”
“How is things with him?”
“As usual.”
“Why are you here? You rarely come to the office.”
Ravana closes her file and looks at Robert. Robert looks at Ravana too. Ravana presses the bell and Kevin comes in.
“Two coffees, please!”
“Yes, ma'am.”
Kevin leaves. Robert smiles and looks around her cabin.
“It suits you, unlike me…” Robert smiles.
“It would suit you as much as it suits me.” Ravana says while turning a page of the file.
“You think so?”
“You haven’t said why you are here.”
“I was bored so thought I will check on you two.”
“Is your girl on vacation?”
“She went to meet her mom downtown.” Robert pouts and says softly.
“That reminds me I wanted to go downtown too. But forgot when Ben called.”
“That boy, Ben... What's his story?” Robert asks curiously.
“He reminds me of someone…” Ravana pauses and says.
They both look in the direction of Donzai's cabin.
“Why not be with that someone then?” Roberts asks.
“I wish it was that easy.” Ravana laughs.
“Why not?”
Ravana stands from her chair and walks to her cabinet.
“That someone doesn’t remind me of him anymore…” Ravana signs.
Ravana's eyes were covered in pain. Roberts looks at her and says nothing. The coffee arrives and they start to sip coffee. Robert takes a sip.
“I don't remember when I last saw you twice with the same guy.” Robert jokes.
“Forgot my handsome top model ex already?”
“Yeah that guys… (pause) Are you thinking about Ben seriously?” Robert asks.
Ravana's face is covered with fear.
“It's been a long time since I have heard you talking properly. It feels like reuniting with an old friend.” Ravana exclaims.
“We all went through stuff that changes our personality. But it doesn’t change who we are.” Robert nods.
“Do you think you can trust someone again?” Ravana’s eyes are covered with pain.
They both look at each other.
“I would love to do so. Sharing your day and night with someone you love can't be compared to those you know.” Robert laughs.
“Ravana?” Robert adds.
“Hm?”
“I want you to be happy. Doesn’t matter with whom!” Robert smiles.
“I wish the same for you.”
“I don’t anymore. Not in this life…” Robert laughs.
The signs together.
“I will be going now.” Robert says while standing up.
“Won't you meet Donzai?”
“Some other time maybe.”
Robert leaves from there. Ravana watches him leaving.
A part of her feels happy seeing Robert acting like old days. He was a great friend to her. Like an elder brother Ravana could trust on. Seeing him changing like this broke Ravana’s heart every time.
