JAMES POV Pick... up, pick up, Stella, please. I had called her number for the tenth time in the last hour, it kept sending me straight to voicemail. And she wasn't responding to any of my texts. I felt the knot in my chest tighten. Was she okay? Was she safe? That was all that kept going through my head because it was already getting late. “Still nothing?” my mother asked, her voice soft but trembling as she paced the room, eyes drifting towards the door. And I wasn't even sure where the hell I was going to start looking for her from. My mother’s eyes searched mine as if she was looking for reassurance that I couldn’t give.
