♥ Shane ♥ The smell of lasagna hit me as soon as Megan and I let ourselves into Caleb and Amy’s house. Warm, rich, and familiar. It smelled like comfort and home and everything they had fought for. Megan squeezed my hand. “It already feels like a celebration,” she said. “It is,” I said. We hung up our coats on the hooks and took off our shoes on the mat. I heard Amy laugh in the kitchen, Caleb’s lower reply, and the clink of dishes. The place looked even more lived in than the last time I was here.
