"Detective Alan, chief Smith wants to see you right away " was the voice of Ken Patrick, a fellow detective at the CIA

"I don't know for sure but it's got something connected to your case "

"My case , hmmm, I'll be there In five "

Chief Smith's Office ....

"Good day boss, I was told you sent for me "

Yeah, I sent for you'

'Anything the matter boss?"

It's about your d*mn case, Chief Smith replied angrily

"What about my case? did I do anything wrong ?

You dare to ask me !! , well, the only thing I've got to tell you is to be careful with this case , period!!

Thanks boss , but I really don't need your d*mn advice for now cause it is not helpful

"You can frame something up , maybe you could say you dropped the case because it pissed you off or you could also say the case got transferred to another detective some where else "

"Did you succeed in convincing him to drop his case and stop tracking me ??

I couldn't no matter how hard I tried , he was just too stubborn to yield , I even threatened his job but all to no avail"

"Listen here you son of a b*tch , I do not want my life nor that of my boss to be at stake here , so whether you perish taking out that detective or not , just get rid of that case now!!

Alan Knocking at the door....

" Anyone home??

"Oh, it's you, come on in , Lauren replied opening the door

" Hey whatsup, you don't look good , I mean is anything wrong? Lauren added

" Yeah, two things are kinda wrong , the first being that I have three weeks to wrap up the case which I haven't even gotten to twenty percent "

Alan goes out of Lauren's house and drives his bike home ..

Why the heck is chief Smith telling Alan to resign ? Could it be that he is ......

It seems Alan will agree to forfeit the case and just take the money.

Chief Smith brings a large golden briefcase and opens it..

The briefcase was full of large golden bars, wristwatches and millions of dollars ....

" You may have all of this and more if you are willing to drop this case and perhaps quit your job "

" I just thought about the one billion dollars promise you made if I drop the case and...."

" Yes, what have you decided to do " Chief Smith said looking anxious
