Pippa wasn’t the first person I had killed; she would certainly not be the last. I was just glad that Kaida hadn't been here to have witnessed it.
Despite everything she had been through, Kaida had a big heart, and she would not have coped to see me kill so easily.
A part of me didn’t want to kill her, but the bigger picture was, that she was a threat to all of us, especially since she was the child of our greatest enemy.
