Things had been running pretty smoothly since we returned to Gisborne. I have been working as normal but I also offered to find and train my replacement as a way of helping out the Fines’s. I mean it was the least I could do.
Drayce had been working from my apartment, things were comfortable between us. We took turns cooking and occasionally ate out. I talked to my brother every day on the phone and that seemed to be helping to keep Bedelia from losing her cool.
Today was my last day at Roark Home Centre's Gisborne branch and it felt bittersweet. Things had been crazy since the day I arrived and I missed a lot of work for many reasons.
