DAISY'S POINT OF VIEW.
I settled into the car, my eyes darting around the place. I felt nervous sitting with this cold-blooded animal.
Theo wouldn't even talk to me, and most of the time I wondered why he hated me. I had been nothing but nice to him since the days when I worked for the Alpha a few years ago.
Back then, we were even younger, but he still just didn’t like me one bit, and I think it’s only gotten worse as the years go by.
Raising my gaze, I caught a glimpse in the rearview mirror, and our eyes met, but it was quick—a mere glance.
I couldn't tell if he was looking at me or the jacket draped around my body.
