DAISY'S POINT OF VIEW.
I slowly took my sunglasses off so I'd have a clear view of her face.
I glanced at Ripper and the driver, who were still sitting in the car, just as I'd asked them to do.
I told him I could do this alone; of course I can.
For a fleeting moment, the smirk on my face faded away, but I forced a small smile.
“Did you say the house was sold?” I asked again, this time my tone was lower than before.
She nodded her head. “Yes, that's what I just said. Don't you understand English?” Her tone got a little saucy, but I didn't mind that. “The house was sold to us by the couple who owns it. They said they'd be relocating back to their supernatural or whatever wolf pack they came from.”
