My lips curled into a weak smile. “Oh, Jaxon. You know I never gave a particular date,” I reminded him. “We could go some other day. Why today?”
He frowned. “We will be going over to my mum's pack soon and then back to school. If I don't go today, then there won't be any other time to do it.”
“And Mum will never have time to take me on an ice cream date,” he added in a weak voice.
