When I wrote That Rejected Blood Moon, I didn’t know it would become a journey of the soul. I only knew I wanted to tell a story about what it means to be unwanted and still choose to live.
Selene was born from that question.
She came to me as a girl made of contradictions—a creature of light and shadow, too bright for darkness and too flawed for purity. She represented every person who has ever stood between two worlds and been told to pick one.
But what if the truth isn’t choosing a side?
What if the truth is being both—and and being whole because of it?
That single question built this story.
