Mischell suddenly chuckled cheekily. "You must be kidding me right? How can a live-in-son-in-law...no how can an ex-convicted son-in-law buy a necklace worth $20 million?" "Mischell, please do me a favour. If you ain't gonna to serve me today, please send me someone who can." "Mxm, suit yourself," she pouted condemingly and walked away. Another sales assistant who had seen what had happened hurried over. "I'm sorry about that sir, how can I help you today?" "Take that down," Barry pointed towards the locked window. "I want to buy it for my wife." The sales assistant couldn't believe her ears. She had thought that she had heard it wrong. Didn't Mischell call him a live-in son-in-law?  "Sir, I'm really sorry but, because of the value of this necklace, it can only be taken down when payment for it has been made. Store procedures, to safe-guard the product." The sales assistant expression was indeed apologetic, but she was safe guarding her job incase Mischell mention this incident to the manager. At the same time she didn't want to dissapoint a potential client. Perhaps he could surprise her and buy the necklace. "Very smart," Barry saw through the ruse. "What's your name?" "Lucy sir," she humbly answered. "Okay Lucy, take my card and swipe the twenty mill. I'll wait here for you." Lucy was about to ask when Barry smiled and said, "no pin, just swipe." The crowd of people came closer when they saw Barry hand the card over. "Wait a minute, can he really buy it?" "I gotta see this one for myself, that necklace is worth $20 million." Headed to the till, Lucy glanced at the card. She had never seen anything like it. She struggled at the till while Barry looked on, patiently waiting. Soon enough the store manager came to help her. "What have you called me here for?" The manager said.  "Please help me swipe twenty million, that Mr is buying 'the heart of the ocean'."  "What?" The manager exclaimed. She took a glimpse at Barry and said, "whatever," as she typed the item number. "Thank you," Lucy said and swiped the card.  Transaction successful. "What?" Everyone who had been watching silently couldn't believe their eyes. They stood routed at the same spot, mouth gaping open.  Mischell who was serving another customer on the other till froze, astounded. Her eyes popping out of her socket.  Lucy didn't even hear the till slip print. Her eyes were still glued on the successful transaction message on her till-screen. The manager who snapped back to reality first, took her gawking eyes off Barry for the first time in over a minute and glanced at Lucy, then the screen. "Is...is this a million dollar commission? Is this real or are my eyes lying to me?" At this moment, Lucy winked back to earth and jumped for joy. "One million dollars, I'm rich, I'm rich." She hugged the manager, got off her and ran a few steps, then back. Her hands wiggled in shock.  "No, it can't be," Mischell stomped her foot in frustration. She made it to Lucy's screen and stared at it. "How can it be? Isn't he...the useless son…"  "He doesn't look useless right now right?" The manager said. "No, Miss Dolph, this is actually my customer. Lucy stole him from me. I served him first, I seen him first," Mischell complained.  "What?" The manager was surprised. "Lucy, is this true?" Shock engulfed Lucy, knowing the rules of the business and knowing the ruthlessness of the manager, coupled with the fact that she was Mischell's cousin- she knew that she would side with her cousin. After all, blood is thicker than water. "Yes," Lucy mumbled, "she approached him first but…" "No buts," the manager said, looking directly at Lucy. "You know the rules of the sales floor. I'm sorry but you will have to forfeit this commission. Mischell will get it instead." The crowd of onlookers exclaimed bitterly at what they had just heard. Barry also looked on, amused.  "Miss Manager," Barry said stepping forward, may I clear the air." Without waiting for her approval he continued. "It's really shocking the level of shamelessness I have witnessed in your store today. How in the world could this woman who calls herself Mischell, insult me the moment I walked into this store. Didn't she looked down on me and say I couldn't afford to buy a single thing in this store? And now that I've bought the most expensive product you have under your roof- she has the gaul to claim the sale?" Barry stopped, glanced at Mischell condensendingly and then returned a brighter look at Lucy. "This lovely lady named Lucy not only helped me ring the transaction, but she smiled at me, served me and saved me face among this onlookers. Now then Miss Manager, tell me who deserves this sale."  The manager was speechless. Walking towards the counter, Barry took a pen, on it he wrote his number. His eyes gazed upon the manager. "Miss Dolf right?" He said pushing the piece of note to Lucy. Then Barry lifted his shirt tactfully enough to give the manager a sneak peak of his Glock.  "Call me if this manager does not reward you this one million dollar commission."    "Oh My God!"
