F**k What is wrong with these people all they had to do was pass her through she had raw talent something I haven't seen. Plus If those idiots knew she was the wife of their boss they would have never done something so stupid. Ed has been head of HR for as long as I could remember I'm not sure what happened! I was so angry.

I just left Ethan's office god he was angry. Although I played it off I wasn't terrified and normally I wouldn't be but something in his eyes told me he was dead serious this time. This i***t did the one thing he was not supposed to he fell in love with his wife I wanted to laugh this might be good for him.

I head down to the human resource. As I approach I hear someone talking. So I slowed down. "I did what you said! I want my money Jade. This can cost me my job." I heard Laura. "I sabotaged her and gaslighted her. Look Jade you are my best friend but this was strictly for the money." she said.

Great, I heard enough. I walk straight to the door and she was shocked and dropped her phone. "Mr.Bass" she stammered. "Conference room now!" I said. I went to Ed's office "Conference room now!" I said. Susan last. "Conference room please." I said I turned and walked towards the room.

Here goes nothing I know Ethan would kill me if f**k this up he hasn't admitted but the i***t is falling for his wife. I never thought I would see the day. I told everyone to go ahead of me. Let's get this over with I thought.

"Alright everyone! can someone explain to me please why I'm down here wasting my time?" I asked. Sarah cleared her throat "Because of what happened with the designer you specifically vetted Mr.Bass" she said.

I pointed at her and slammed my hands on the desk. They all jumped "Yes Sarah that's correct! Now, whose bright idea was it to basically through my opinion out the window?" I said looking at all three of them no one said a word. Laura looked pale and Ed was sweating uncontrollably. "Oh great! now no one chooses to take initiative." I say with a small chuckle.

"Alright, fine I have more important things to be doing Laura, please explain why you just disregard and denied a job to the promising up-and-coming designer?" I asked.

"I just felt she wouldn't be the right fit. Sir we have a high standard when it comes to our hires Mr.Bass." she said "Oh that's interesting high strands. So my thoughts are not to be regarded the high standards?" I said "Mr.Bass that's not.." I cut her off

"Well please elaborate on what makes her unfit for the company? Do you know Ms.Larson?"

She was looking like she might throw up "I don't know her personally Mr.Bass but I do know her sister. She has always filled me in on the issues Regarding Ms.Larson. We can't have a thief and a lair working here." she said calmly.

"Oh I see okay yes your right then," I said. "Well, it seems you may have gotten your information mixed up. Everything you said is about the other Larson daughter your friend Jade. Not Calista." I said.

"How did you not verify this information it took me five minutes to find all this out." I continued "What we can't have are people like you working for this company." I said "But Mr.Bass I swear I thought I was doing the right thing for the company." she said

"No enough you're fired. Security has all the things you may leave. They will walk you out." I said She looked like she was about to faint I pointed at the door. Security was already there.

"And then were two left. I said with a smile "Ed what happened? You have been the head of HR for years. how could you let this happen?" I said.

He turned red "Mr.Bass I made a mistake I had no idea you had signed off on her. Laura was in charge of the vetting and telling me who was sent from where. She didn't mention it was your hire I swear." he stated

"Okay, Sarah how did you know she was my pick?" I asked "I have been shadowing Laura Mr.Bass." she said

"and no one tried to tell Ed that this was important?" I asked "I did go to him and tried to explain something was not right but he told me that he had other things to tend to and that he trusted in Laura." she said.

I turned my attention back to Ed. "Ed you have just gotten lazy. I understand it's hard to work but you put your trust in the wrong person. Laura was gaslighting Ms.Larson for money. She purposely left out that I sent her as a candidate. She sent the wrong survey form to her. You could have easily caught all these mistakes. Had you been doing your job." I stated firmly.

"With that said Ed you're fired. Security is waiting for you with all your stuff. Have a good day." I said. "Mr.Bass please it was one mistake. It will never happen again." he said. "Well, Ed that one mistake cost you a lot. I wish you that of luck." I said.

He got up and left security was waiting for him as well. God this becoming annoying Ethan better give me a raise. I look at Susan she is the only one left.

I was about to talk when my phone rang. one minute I said. "This Dylan" I said "Mr.Bass Ms.Larson is here." she said.

Great! "Give me 15 minutes please take her to my office and let Mr.Evans know someone is coming up." I said. I hang up okay let's get this done.

I look at Susan "I'm not going to fire you will now take over Laura's job. I will be head HR till a suitable replacement is found. Susan do not make me regret keep and promoting you." I said "Thank you, Mr.Bass" she said.

I smiled at her "I suggest you keep your nose clean and tell me if something like this occurs again. You may leave" I said. she got up quickly walked to the door she turned "You won't regret this Mr.Bass you can trust me I will be your ears." she said and left.

God, I hope so because I absolutely f**king hate doing HR s**t if we can't find someone soon I might just put her in charge for the time being.

I get up and head back to my office I'm kinda excited to see what she looks like. Ethan never intended for us to meet because I tend to be overly friendly. While Ethan never really cared before he was falling for his wife i***t but this seems to have brought his possessiveness to another level. One I don't think I didn't want to see unfold.

I get off the elevator and head to my office.
