Ares pops in with a big smile on his face, but it falters when he sees the concerned glares from his companions. “What happened? Is something wrong?”
“Why would you put Beth’s life in danger like that? If Zeus found out she would be in danger!” Selene shouted to him.
“If I found out what exactly Selene?” A deep baritone voice commanded. All three goddesses gasped when they turned to see Zeus standing there beside Ares, his arm around his shoulders like it was just another day in the realm.
Zeus and Ares were having a good laugh because they knew exactly what they were worried about. They just wanted to play with them a little bit. Their concern is unwarranted since Zeus was the one to give the order for Ares to share his blood with the mortal.
