*Chapter 4* Just as the detectives were about to make their move, a figure burst into the warehouse, g*n drawn. "Freeze! Let her go!" The stalker's eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, he hesitated. That was all the time Jameson and Rodriguez needed. They pounced, disarming the stalker and pinning him to the ground. The newcomer, a tall, athletic man with a determined look on his face, rushed over to Sarah. "Sarah, are you okay?" Sarah nodded, tears streaming down her face. "Orie, thank God you're here." Jameson and Rodriguez exchanged a look. Who was this guy? "Who are you?" Jameson asked, his g*n still trained on the stalker. The man, Orie, turned to them. "I'm a private investigator. I've been tracking this guy for weeks. He's been stalking Sarah for months, and I finally traced him here." Rodriguez's eyes narrowed. "How did you know where to find us?" Orie smiled. "Let's just say I have my ways. I've been working with Sarah to gather evidence and build a case against this guy." Jameson's eyes widened in surprise. "You're the one who's been helping her?" Orie nodded. "I had to keep it quiet, for her safety. But I'm glad I was able to get here in time." The stalker, still pinned to the ground, snarled at Orie. "You'll never be able to prove anything. I've covered my tracks too well." Orie smiled grimly. "I think we'll find that you're wrong about that." With the stalker subdued and Sarah safe, the detectives and Orie began to unravel the web of evidence that would bring the stalker to justice. But as they delved deeper into the case, they realized that nothing was as simple as it seemed...
