Case let go of Fader and followed Will’s gaze. A cloud of glowing silver spheres floated from the jungle, their light reflecting off the foliage and bejeweled sand. Each sphere was the size of a basketball, except one which was much smaller. She counted a dozen spheres as she and Fader stood. The small sphere and two of the larger were dazzling. The others were much dimmer, a couple barely emitting any light. Stopping ten paces away, the three bright spheres lengthened top to bottom, settling toward the sand. Three figures now stood before them. Three transparent figures glowing with a silver light. Two were human. One was a dog. Fader walked over to the glowing figures and the spheres.
