He had so many questions. Why was Adi so good at dealing with people like Alvarez, just as she’d dealt with Morrigan and her men when they’d invaded the tower? What had her job been for his parents?
And what was her history with Stone? He’d started working for Adi shortly after the fateful Peru expedition. Yet they’d obviously known each other far longer.
He guessed now wasn’t the time for those questions. He also guessed she wouldn’t tell him. Better to focus on the problem facing him. Facing them all. “The Chakana. What is it?”
