CASE SAT BETWEEN Will and Fader on the couch in Adi’s office. Adi was behind her desk, with Stone seated across from her. Exhausted, Case leaned back and rubbed her face. For the past two hours, the three of them had told their stories of the Black Island. Two hours to tell an adventure that had lasted probably eight. Except it hadn’t. On returning to Toronto, they’d discovered that no time had passed since they’d left the subway at the phantom station.
