MARISSA POV
I can't wait to see Doris downfall. My name is Marissa, and I have one daughter and one son. My daughter's name is Mary, and my son is Marcello.
We once lived in Austria, and we were once a happy family — until Doris kidn*pped all of my family.
Flashback
I remember my late husband, Jace, had three friends: Eugene, Julian, and Desmond. They were really close and always seen together.
Eugene is the richest of them, and he got married to Cadence. They were blessed with two kids, Timothy and Caroline, and he is now the president of Austria.
Julian is more quiet and jovial, but really powerful. He is extremely rich and known for being quiet — but when he takes action, you would be surprised. He is really powerful. He got married to Lucia, and they had one son, named Lucas.
Desmond is from a very poor family, and he is the type who got jealous easily. Even though many never knew he was poor, because his friends gave him everything he needed, he got married to Racheal — a very heartless woman, like her husband, who could do anything to gain power and money. Desmond and Racheal planned to kill Julian and Lucia, all because of power and money. Desmond was the closest to Julianl and used his weaknesses to kill him, and his wife, leaving only Lucas, their son, behind.
Desmond sent his boys to kill his closest friend and his entire family, but his boys could not find Lucas. Unknown to them, he was inside the house.
Lucas avenged his parents' death — he killed every single soul who had a hand in it.
Doris was Jace my late husband's, friend. She is really beautiful and gets whatever she wants, no matter what it takes.
Jace saw her as nothing more than a fling, while she saw Jace as her fiancé. She threatened any girl she saw with him, because she is pretty intimidating .
When Jace and I were dating, she did everything to make us hate each other, but thanks to Julian, who really loved me for Jace, she didn't succeed.
I remember the last day I saw her — she slept with Eugene using her power, and at Eugene and Cadence's wedding, she tried to expose it to everyone. ButJulian was quick to expose all of her evil deeds at the wedding instead. All four friends confronted her about the evil she had done, and she was so ashamed of herself that she couldn't look up.
"Doris, I never knew you were a cheap w***e," I shouted angrily.
"How dare you call me a w***e?" she asked.
"You think we don't all know you're an evil woman? You slept with Eugene with the aim of destroying his wedding. You made Desmond hate Racheal. You lied to me that you were pregnant for Jace, and he told you not to tell me. What did you gain from destroying their friendships? You wanted to destroy their friendships, but you ended up bringing shame on yourself — you even called reporters," I shouted, fuming with anger.
"I promise you, I would destroy your entire family, starting with you," she said, and left.
I felt really scared, because I knew she was truly wicked and powerful. Jace kissed me, and I hugged him, feeling afraid.
"You don't have to be scared. She won't do anything," Jace said, and the priest continued the wedding.
Present Day
She kidn*pped and killed us, but Rina rescued us, my daughter and I survived. My husband and my son did not survive it. Now her aim is to destroy any of the remaining families and their offspring. Her happiness now comes from having already killed one family, leaving three remaining.
Ever since we left Earth, Rina has always used her power, and I could see what was happening.I never knew Desmond could be this heartless ;to the extent of killing his best friend.
DAMON'S POV
I stared at the report one more time. I had this feeling someone was betraying me, but I couldn't place who.
I dropped the file on my desk and rubbed my temples. Everyone around me had a reason to want something from me — my money, my power, my name. Trust wasn't something I could afford these days, and lately, that feeling of unease had only grown sharper.
I pushed the thought aside for now. There was a meeting I needed to prepare for, and I couldn't let distractions slow me down.
I dressed for the meeting — I needed to be there early to avoid complaints. I thought about taking the girl along; I didn't trust anyone else with her, in case she tried to escape.
📲 "Hello, Ma Alice , please get Mitchell a beautiful dress. I'm going to a meeting, and I don't want her left at home."
📲 "Ok, son," she said, and hung up.
Ma Alice has been one of the few people who helped me recover after my parents' death. She was always there for me before I lost them - she was our personal maid back then, too. She is really kind and hardworking, and one of the only people I actually listen to.
MITCHELL'S POV
I was sleeping comfortably when a knock disturbed me. I dragged myself sluggishly to the door and opened it to find Ma Alice.
"Good day, ma," I greeted, bowing.
"Good day, daughter. You need to get dressed — Lucas needs to take you to an important meeting," she said.
"Ma, please, who is Lucas?"
"Oh, sorry, daughter — it's Damon His real name is Lucas. You need to be quick; I need to dress you."
I looked at the dress she laid out and felt a small flicker of happiness.
"You look really beautiful," Ma Alice complimented.
I lowered my head, feeling unhappy — I knew she was just trying to cheer me up. I remembered Aunty Lola's words: "Even if you find yourself in a difficult situation, always play along."
"Thank you, ma," I said, forcing a smile.
"Promise me — no matter what, you won't leave him," she said, and I felt confused.
"Ma, I don't understand, wh—"
"Don't worry, daughter. When the time comes, you would understand. But please, no matter what, always remember my words," she said.
"Go now — he is waiting," she said, smiling.
I entered the sitting room and found Capo looking... handsome. No — how could I call that devil handsome? I looked down, feeling shy and scared, and I could feel his gaze moving over me.
DAMON'S POV
I stared at her again. God, I won't lie — she looked really beautiful in that dress. She is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.
Ma Alice cleared her throat, and I quickly looked away.
"Let's go," I said, and she started walking toward the car. I watched her for a moment before catching myself.
MITCHELL'S POV
I felt really scared entering the car — this would only be the second time I had ever ridden in one. I just prayed I wouldn't accidentally use my power to hurt anyone at the meeting.
I remembered Mom's warning: never try to associate yourself with people, because you are evil, and you would end up hurting others.
Don't you know he's powerful? If he weren't, he would have been dead by now , my subconscious said.
"Oh! It's true, I'm safe," I replied to myself, feeling a small flicker of relief.
The car parked, and we stepped out. Damon pulled me aside near a tree and cleared his throat.
"After I finish my speech, I might leave to handle some things. I'm going to give you rules, and if you don't follow them, you'll be in serious trouble.
Do not talk to anyone.
Do not eat anything until I say so.
Do not look up — your head must stay down.
Do not try to flirt with or approach my men.
You must never smile, no matter what.
Don't try to be clever and run. Trust me, you won't live to see how that ends."
Damon entered the hall, and I followed slowly, feeling scared.
Everyone stood immediately as Damon entered. They greeted him, and he nodded in response.
He walked to the front seat and sat down comfortably in his chair, and I sat beside him, shy and quiet.
The meeting started, and Damon began his speech. He could feel the men's eyes drifting toward me, and it made him furious, though he did his best to keep his composure.
The meeting ended smoothly, and Damon excused himself to handle some things privately. He left me behind, not before repeating his threats.
I sighed with relief once he was gone.I wish he won't have to come back. Now I understand why they call him a devil.
SLYVESTER POV
I felt really pleased that Damon had left — now was my chance to get this girl's number. He isn't the only one who gets to enjoy a pretty face.
I walked toward her, feeling excited. A fresh face — I was sure she'd be happy to give me her number.
Apart from being in the Mafia, I'm also known for being a flirt — always chasing the next pretty girl.
Even from a distance, she was really beautiful.
"Hello, beautiful," I said, smiling. "Hello, angel—"
"Angel," I called, and she looked up.
OMG. No — she's not the one, I thought, still staring at her.
She immediately looked back down, and I tried to get her to look up again, but she just bowed her head, which somehow made her look even more endearing.
I think I need to call Boss — I've finally found her, after all these years of searching. We had been looking for her for more than nine years. My boss knows me well enough: I might have a weakness for women, but when it comes to work, I am dangerous.
Flashback to Ten years ago
"Boss, this man wants to see you," I said, bowing.
"Yes, speak fast," Boss replied.
(One thing about Boss — he believes that as a Mafia man, you always make proper use of your time.)
"Well, I'm here on business. I want you to kidnap a young girl for me."
"What crime did she commit?"
"It's personal. Just kidnap her and hand her over to me."
He paid handsomely, and Boss handed the job to me. I am really good at what I do — k********g, tracking, all of it.
I searched for her for years but couldn't find her. I remembered the man who ordered the k********g was the vice president of Austria.
No matter what, she was still just as beautiful as the little girl in the photo I'd once seen. I was sure — this was her.
I decided I should try to talk to her, start with conversation.
"Hello, pretty. Can I get to know you?" I said, crouching down beside her.
She looked away, clearly uncomfortable, and stepped back slightly.
"Please, leave me alone," she said quietly.
That was when someone grabbed me by the neck, and I looked up to see the shock of my life.
"Oh my God — I'm dead," I said silently.
The next thing I felt was my throat being gripped tighter. Capo held me firmly, and I could feel his eyes burning into mine. I tried not to show fear, but I couldn't help it.
"How dare you touch her," he asked dangerously.
I had heard he was dangerous, but I never imagined he could be this terrifying. His eyes had turned red, and I knew better than to say a word.
After a moment, he let go, and I dropped to my knees, breathing heavily.
"The next time you try to touch or hurt what is mine, you won't live to see the outcome," he said angrily.
"She is mine, and mine alone. None of you have the right to touch her. I am the only one," he said, and walked out.
DAMON'S POV
I felt really angry seeing that bastard near her. He was lucky I let him walk away at all. You could call me possessive , I don't care. Only I have the right to be near her.
"Give me the car key," I said to my driver, my voice sharp.
I got into the driver's seat myself. She opened the back door, but I stopped her.
"Sit in front," I said in a commanding tone.
She got in and shivered. I sped off immediately.
I parked in the lot and got out. She followed a few steps behind me.
"Meet me in my room," I said, and walked away.
MITCHELL'S POV
My heart was pounding as I dragged myself to his room. I entered and bowed my head.
He looked at me, his expression unreadable, and something in his eyes seemed almost pained rather than cruel.
"Sit," he said quietly, gesturing to the chair across from him.
I sat, confused and afraid, waiting for whatever came next — but he only stared at the floor, saying nothing for a long time.
"Get out," he finally said, his voice rough. "I need to be alone."
I left quickly, my legs shaking, unsure of what had just happened, but grateful to be out of that room.
ALEX POV
I felt really angry watching the way he'd approached her so boldly. The way he looked at her made me want to punch him.
How dare he go near her? I can't wait for the day I finally deal with him, so I can have her — and everything else — for myself.
She looked beautiful in her gown. I couldn't stop thinking about the day I would finally have her all to myself, when she would belong to no one else but me.
"I can't wait to make you mine," I said, smiling to myself.
FESTUS POV
I felt really angry — I had already planned to take her the moment he left for his meeting. Oh God, why?
I had felt so relieved when I heard he'd be attending a meeting today, and now everything was ruined.
I need to think of another plan. I can't wait to ruin his life. If Plan A doesn't work, I'll move to Plan B.
UNKNOWN POV ✍️
Back in Lucifer's Mansion 😇
Ma Alice, Mary, the new maid and I sat comfortably in the sitting room.
"When he saw her, he was stunned, he just kept staring until I cleared my throat," Ma Alice said, excited.
"No matter what, I would do everything to make sure she is happy. She needs to feel happy; she has been deceived by the people who claimed to love her," I said sadly.
"Yes. Mother has already taught me how to use my powers. All their evil deeds will be exposed soon. I know Damon would feel really angry," Mary said.
"Whether he likes it or not, Damon will eventually find out Mitchell is his unknown angel," Mary added.
"And when would that be?" I asked.
"The future will tell," Mary said, smiling.
Back to present
I saw her walking back to her room, visibly shaken, and helped her settle in. She was quiet, lost in thought.
"Please, can you help me? I can't stay here anymore. I need to leave," she said, her voice breaking.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm certain. Please — this is my only request," she said.
"I promise you'll be free soon," I said.
In the middle of the night, Damon woke screaming, his whole body shaking. Ma Alice rushed into his room and froze in fear — his sickness had returned. His body was turning pale, his hands growing long and cold.
"Oh no, this isn't good. Please, no, please stop," Ma Alice cried, backing away toward the door. He looked barely recognizable, aged and hollow. She locked the door behind her and ran.
She had grown to love Lucas like her own blood. She didn't want any harm to come to him — he had already been through so much.
"This can't happen," she said, still crying. Suddenly, she remembered the new maid, Mary, and ran to the maid's quarters to find her she is the only one who might know the solution.
She told Mary everything, and she explained the only cure: his unknown angel. Only she could bring him back.
They went to Mitchell's room to find her crying. They explained everything and told her that only she could save him — but she refused. She hated him, and a part of her wouldn't be sorry to see him gone.
After much pleading, she finally agreed on the condition: the moment she helped him, she would leave the mansion for good.
They entered his room together. Mitchell stood frozen by the door, terrified, as he struggled to sit up. Then she began to sing softly at first, surprising even herself. She had never sung for anyone before. The moment Damon heard her voice, he collapsed, unconscious.
Ma Alice Mary and Mitchell left the room in silence. Mitchell returned to her own room and packed her things. Ma Alice gave her enough money to last more than three years.
She slipped out of the mansion quietly unaware that someone was following her.
