Chapter 2:

Melissa's pov:

"How could you be so sure?" Regent Lumine panicked.

"The eyes. I saw magic in them, it was a distinct kind of colour, like Sylvia's. I'm not sure cuz she doesn't seem like she has magic." Rihanna said.

Rihanna was an elemental like the rest of the realm ,ELARION. She controls one of the five elements, the Air element, the air element has been said to be the most useless of all the elements so technically the bearer is also useless.

Rihanna proved everyone wrong, she harnessed her magic to the extent of being able to wake up the dead. That was impossible in our world, waking up the dead was for the high priestess, AZURE.

Azure was once the neglected little girl nobody paid attention to because she wasn't born with magic.

Suddenly one day, Azure got dangerous powers, not evil magic though, pure but dangerous powers including waking up the dead and taking someone else's powers away, termed as STILLING.

Now Azure won't do anyone a favour without collecting something in return. Nobody could pinpoint how on ELARION she got her magic but all we know is she got it and it saves people_at a price.

As if on cue, Aria , my ride or die appeared in the room, teleportation or something.

"Lumine....calm down, i could sense your fear from 700 miles away." Aria said, Regent Lumine had her eyebrows up to her scalp but here's the catch, Aria never said sorry, never begged, I can proudly say she's the coolest bestie on the planet.

"Correct yourself, Aria." Regent Lumine said. Aria smiled.

"What's there to correct? Your name is Lumine, isn't it? Look, we're not even sure it's Sylvia or anyone related to her, it could be some odd resemblance for all we care." Aria said.

"Your disrespect is getting unbearable, Aria, be warned, next time, you'll be burnt at the stake." Regent Lumine said, I watched the conversation fly from disrespect to counterattack, Aria's quite the sassy b***h.

" One, I'm not a witch, I can't be burnt at the stake, two, I can't be burnt by fire, I control fire , think. Before. You. Talk." Aria said. Lumine froze.

Regent Lumine was the substitute monarch of ELARION. It's a long story.

Aria was a seer, an unapologetic sassy , classy, b*tch, she doesn't beg, doesn't shout.

She controls the Fire element, one of the most uncontrollable magic in the world.

She's related to the royal palace because Lumine put her on the pavillion.

The PAVILLION is a 7 member council that consists of the most powerful beings in Elarion.

They decide for the whole of Elarion.

They are:

1. The Queen/ king (or regent monarch).

2. The seer (current one: Aria).

3. The high priestess (current one: Azure).

4. The minister.

5. The royal advisor.

6. First born child of the current monarch but if no child yet, someone close.

7. The sorceress (Rihanna)

N.B ; sorcery is not necessarily evil.

"Look, what if we kept an eye on the girl?" I offered not because I cared but to clear the awkward air.

Lumine looked like she appreciated the intervention.

"Nice plan, i'd love to go back to the human world, it's exciting." Aria said, smiling knowingly at me.

"That's great, keep an eye on the girl, keep me informed, everything she does, where she lives, what she does ,who her parents are." Lumine gave us all a look then continued. "Become her friend and when the time comes, bring her to me."

"Only if she's what we think she is." Rihanna added.

"What she said." Lumine said.

"We can't go ourselves, she already knows us. We need someone we can use to penetrate into her." I said.

"And I know the perfect person for the job." Aria gave us a knowing smile.
