"Wait, what?" I said in shock.
"Enough with the backstory; now tell me what you're here for."
"Actually, that's what we're here for," Taylor said, "we want to know how you know Lily Will and Alpin Svensen."
"Please take a seat, this may take some time," said the above alpha as we sat on the couch in front of him, waiting for him to begin his narrative. We didn't have to wait long:
"When I first became an alpha, I had to learn everything I could about the pack's history and the prior alphas. During my research, I discovered that Lily's grandfather was the pack's first alpha, and that he was very close to my grandfather. When your great grandfather was bitten in the neck and died, there was a werewolf war. He handed over command to my grandfather as he drew his final breaths. By the time I was looking for this information, I had met a lovely young woman in medical school. She became dissatisfied and began looking for work, which is when I offered her the position of pack doctor. I believe you've figured out who I'm talking about."
"Isn't that my mother?"
He gave a slight nod.
That's when I continued in a state of disbelief and rage:
"Why didn't she inform me? She never told me anything about it, even after she was aware that I had transformed into a werewolf."
"Perhaps your mother had her reasons, youngster,"
"Where's the rest of the story?"
Taylor asked, jumping into the conversation.
"I was travelling into the forest in the morning after a full moon night, and I spotted a young lady passed out on the ground, so I carried her to the pack's house, where Dr. Lily took care of her. She awoke with no idea where she was or what had happened the night before. Because of how much pain she was in, I knew it was her first time turning. Her entire body was damaged, and her wolf was a black wolf marbled with silver, which was a sight to behold. I attempted to help her remember what had happened, how she had turned, and who had bitten her. But she couldn't recall anything. She became a member of our Fearless Hunters pack. After a few months, she met a guy who began to fall for her. Fortunately for him, her mate was cursed. His curse was that he could harm his spouse, which the moon's goddess forbade.
The guy was strolling by one night when he noticed her mate attempting to bite the lady. He was able to kill him and flee with her. Because she had rage issues and an unrestrained wolf, she decided to put her powers on hold in order to protect her beloved. with the assistance of a witch who cast a spell on her and prevented her from changing."
I was left dumbfounded by two unexpected surprises and shocks.
Taylor was enthralled by the prospect of learning more:
"And what about her death? Why were the werewolves so cruel to her? What was the name of the pack they came from? ARE WE IN ANY WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR HER DEATH?"
"Calm down, Taylor; we're not to blame for her death."
"Who then assassinated her?"
"I'm not sure if I can provide any additional details."
"Not enough information, we need more"
""But at least we know Feliz can be a werewolf." I had awoken from my disbelief and continued, ." But why hasn't she yet turned ? not even onc, What's keeping her from smelling you're her mate?"
"There must be something, think of anything, you know her better than we do, my child."
"I- I don't know i can't think of anything at the moment"
"Please think Destiny," Taylor murmured, his eyes pained.
I pushed myself to come up with something that could be a lead. Something literally knocked on the door of my thoughts.
"WAIT! Yes! Since she was four years old, Feliz has been taking pills for a disease." "What kind of disease?" Taylor inquired, concerned.
"I don't know... I don't think she remembers any symptoms.""
"How can we figure out what it's for?"
"I think, I might actually have something in mind," Taylor remarked as he looked at me.
