Leonel Attending a basketball game monthly was a tradition for my friends and me. I was deeply invested and I also needed a distraction from work to avoid another breakdown. Miracle, her cousin, my sister Leana, my friends, Alex, Bart, and their girlfriends joined me. We headed to the VIP seats, where I noticed Bart's girlfriend eyeing Miracle's and my linked hands. I wondered if Bart had opened his big mouth to spill the beans about the contract and made a mental note to ask him later. Leana and Miracle were like two peas in a pod, giggling and chatting about girl stuff that didn't interest me. When the players took to the court, I felt a twinge of envy.
