Miles had dropped his phone and went to the dinning room to help his mom tidy up the kitchen. “was that Emma?”Stacy asks which putting some cups inside the cupboard “Yeah it was her and she said i should thank you for the food” Miles said while wiping the counter. “Oh it’s nothing. I just wish her father was around more. I just don’t like the idea of her being in that house alone” Stacy said now standing close to the sink. No one said another word till they were done with the dishes before Miles excused himself and went to his room. After he had his shower, he turned on his PS5 game, played some games before turning in for the night. The next day, Miles woke up to his mom calling his name from the other side of the door. “Miles, can you please run down to the pharmacy and pick up my drugs, I’m not feeling too well”, “Ok mum, let me get dressed” Miles replied half awake. He closed his eyes for five more seconds before counting the 321 method in his head and getting out of bed. He had his bath, dressed up, got into his car and drove off to the pharmacy. While there he bumped into a girl. The girl was dark skinned, curvy, had a long, full and curly hair, beautiful Hazel green eyes and her lips were perfectly placed on her face. When CJ saw her, he literally stopped and stood to stare at her for some time before snapping out of it and going to get his mum’s drugs. While he stood at the counter, waiting for the pharmacist to write out how his mother would take them, the girl from earlier walked up to the counter and stood close to him. Now that she was closer to him, Miles could smell her and she smelt so good that he had to catch himself from passing out. He was about to talk to her when a loud crash was heard outside and everyone turned their attention to the cause of the sound but when Miles turned around, she was gone. He looked around the store but couldn’t find a trace of her. He swore under his breath for not being fast enough but decided to let it go. He got the drugs and drove back home to his mom. Once they had both had breakfast, he picked up his phone and put it in his ear. After three minutes, he brought his phone down, looked at it, pressed a button and then put it back in his ear but soon repeated the same action again before dropping the phone on the table and getting up. “Emma?” Stacy asked looking at her son. “Yeah, she’s not picking and it’s not like her” Miles said looking at his phone. “Maybe she’s in the bathroom and her phone is in her room” “Mom, you and i know this person. There is absolutely no way she would be apart from her phone for more than five seconds” Miles said whilst walking to his room and coming back with his backpack on his left shoulder. “I’ll drive by her place and make sure everything is ok” Miles said picking up his phone and car keys but the moment he opens the door, an exhausted looking Bea is standing there with her right hand up to indicate that she was just about to knock. “oh hi.. I was just about to *yawns* knock” Emma said. “where’s your phone?” Miles asked while Emma walked in to meet his mom. “oh, i left it on my bed stand, Good morning Stacy, how are you feeling today?” Emma asked while hugging Miles’s mom. “I’m fine honey but you.. You don’t look so good. Are you ok?” Stacy asked as she carefully examined Emma. Emma just gave her a weak smile and a reassuring nod before heading our the door with a concerned Miles behind her.
The drive to school was normal with Miles telling Emma about the girl he saw at the pharmacy but She wasn’t paying attention to most of what he was saying. She kept replaying the events of the previous night and how she didn’t get enough sleep. Once they got to school, they each walked to their respective classes and the first part of the day went by quickly. During lunch Miles and Emma met at the lunchroom, bought their meals and joined their friends at their table. Everything went smoothly and everyone went back to their classes. At the end of school, Miles was nowhere to be found. Emma looked for him everywhere but couldn’t find so she asked his friends if they had seen him, to which they just looked at each other and smiled but no one said anything. An hour goes by and Miles still hasn’t returned so Emma goes back to look for him. While passing through the storage room however, she begins to hear some strange noises. It sounded like heavy breathing or something like that but she wasn’t sure so she decided to check out the cause of the sound. As she opened the door, she met two people going at it like rabbits in there and she immediately regretted it. She was about to say something when a familiar voice shouted “if you don’t shut that door, you’ll have more than a story to tell people” it was Miles. The moment she heard his voice, she slammed the door and ran out of there. She went back his car and waited for him there. Tears ran down her cheeks but she cleaned them the moment she saw Miles walk out with a girl she hadn’t seen before and they were holding hands. She kept quiet and waited for Miles to be done with his new “activity” and get into the car. He eventually did and drove her home but Emma didn’t say a word the entire ride home which Miles noticed. “What’s the matter Emma? You’re not usually this quiet” Miles finally said once they got to the house. Emma said nothing and just played with her fingers but when Miles tried to lift her face and look at her, she slapped him across his face, opened the door, ran into her house and shut the door.
“What just happened?”
