When darkness came, it felt like Clarissa had won. Everywhere was so calm, with whispers of creeping animals. I turned and looked at Leo again, and my heart tore into pieces. I couldn't help myself, and I couldn't help him.
Then suddenly, there came a sound rushing with heavy might into the cavern. Everywhere became blank and darker, and then the wolf in me began to stir .
My bones began to vibrate, heat surging through my chest to the whole of my body. My whole body was literally on fire. Then the handcuffs broke into pieces and shattered everywhere.
I rushed over to Leo and untied him. I was about to make a move when I saw her ,Clarissa standing right in front of me .
