42 When Ethan descended the stairs, Shaun was waiting for him. “She’s working,” Ethan answered the unasked question. “She’s alright?” Ethan nodded. “The laptop is in cabin 4 if you have time to look at the dates.” Glancing at the clock that hung on the wall behind the front counter, Shaun nodded and moved toward the door. “Here’s the key. I have a few things I want to check out.” Shaun took it and made his way to Ethan’s cabin. The day was degrees warmer than the previous one, and it seemed odd to have the parking lot so empty.
