27 There were pros and cons to being the boss. Hiring and firing people, deciding which projects held merit, or pulling the plug on ones that drained the budget only fueled the God-like complex that people in his position wielded as deftly as a Samurai does a sword. Scott preferred to think that he had more compassion than some of his colleagues.
