His scowl was unseen by Carli, who turned off the light before rejoining him in bed. Rearranging herself next to him, she sighed contentedly as he wrapped his arm around her to secure her to his side. Her fingers lightly traced the edges of his muscles across his chest and over his ribs. There was no pattern, but it seemed to soothe her.
