Stretching, then blinking open her eyes, Carli read the clock. 5:15 AM She could get an early start on the day by finishing the photos in the darkroom. Maybe Shaun could drop them off at the post office in Laramie when he took Sam to the airport. A frown touched her lips. She missed her sister, and Shaun, when they weren’t together. It was easier when she was out of the country, or at least working somewhere besides New York. Whether or not Shaun was correct that Samantha would be safer at Crystal Springs than at the lodge, she wasn’t convinced. If someone was serious about causing them harm, they would find a way to follow through.
