31 It was Thursday morning. The air was still cool, the sky dotted with puffy white clouds. By the afternoon, hotels and restaurants would be filling up with tourists having arrived for a long weekend of rafting, Jeep tours, hiking, and mountain biking. A few of the stores already had their doors open, some with items set out on the sidewalk for early shoppers.
