* * * On our arrival at the Brightwalton Farm, Geoffrey left me alone to sign several sheets of officially stamped, important looking documents, whilst he paid what he said would be his last visit to the farm's guest. There was an edge of genuine sadness in his voice as he said that. On his return I was introduced to more who needed to know who I was. It was then that Henry Mayler was officially released into my responsibility whilst I remained on the premises. I said my goodbyes to Harwood when he declined to introduce me to Mayler, preferring to deal with the paperwork he was required to sign off on.
