Iris really could not breathe.
Her father was standing in Nathaniels penthouse. He was actually alive. He looked really fragile and very real.
Her voice broke as she ran to him. She caught him in time because his knees were about to give out. "Dad" she said, her voice shaking. "You are alive how is that possible?"
Her father held her hand tightly. He said to Iris "Iris you have to listen to me. The war has to stop, Iris. You must stop the war, Iris."
Her eyes immediately looked at Nathaniel. She said "Tell me what is going on Nathaniel. I want to know now."
Nathaniel did not move. He said "Nathaniel was not supposed to be dragged into this situation tonight."
Iris said to me "Answer me!" She really wanted me to answer her. Iris was being very serious. She demanded that I tell her something. Iris wanted an answer, from me away.
Her father spoke up his voice was shaking badly. He said "Nathaniel did not kill me Nathaniel hid me."
The silence was. It was, like a big explosion.
It was really loud when the silence exploded.
The silence just exploded.
Iris whispered what?
Her father went on to say that they were coming for Vale Holdings. That was not all they were coming for him too. If he had stayed he would have really died. Nathaniel made it look like he had failed and then he moved him to a place where nobody could find him Vale Holdings was not the thing in danger he was, in danger too.
Iris took a step back she was really upset. "You are not telling the truth " Iris said, her voice was shaking Iris felt like she had been punched in the gut Iris could not believe what she was hearing Iris was trying to process everything the words of Iris were, above a whisper "You are lying..."
Nathaniels jaw got really tight. He said "I took care of him. I did it quietly. I did it completely. I even protected him from you Nathaniel was talking about the fact that he protected him."
She wanted to know why they did not tell her. "Why keep it from me?" she asked. Her voice was shaking with anger. She could hardly believe what was happening.
The man told me that I was being watched. If those people found out that I had hope they would use me to get to him. They would try to get to him through me because I had something that they wanted and that something was hope. The man was talking about him. How they would use me to get to him because of the hope that I had.
Her mind was spinning. She had been in pain, for five years. She had been filled with hatred for five years. It was all because of a lie that someone told her. The lie had caused her a lot of hurt. Five years of her life were spent feeling this way because of something that was not true.
"No" she. Shook her head. "No someone told me that you were the one who signed the order that really hurt him. The order that destroyed him."
Nathaniel said that he did. He wanted to make them think that he was completely done.
Before Iris could give an answer -
The lights just went out.
The darkness came into the penthouse. It completely took over the penthouse. The penthouse was covered in darkness.
Then—
The glass shattered into a million pieces all, over the floor. This was really loud. It made me jump. The glass shattered.
Gunshots cracked through the room. They were really loud. It was very scary. The sound of the gunshots was still echoing in my ears. Gunshots, like these can be really frightening.
The father of the girl fell down. Her father had a fall. The girl was very upset when her father fell.
“Dad!”
Nathaniel grabbed Iris. He pulled Iris to the floor. He told Iris to stay.
Footsteps. Armed. Inside the house.
A cold voice echoed from the dark. It was really spooky. The dark was so scary that it made the voice sound colder. The voice, from the dark seemed to be coming from around. The dark made everything feel creepy. The cold voice just made it worse.
It has been five years. Now you are all finally together, in one place. Five years is a time and I am really happy that all of you are here now.
Iriss heart just stopped beating. It was like everything came to a standstill, for Iris. Her heart was not moving all and Iris was completely still.
She recognized that voice because it was really familiar, to her. That voice was one that she knew well. The sound of that voice was something that she could not forget. She knew that voice.
And the real enemy—
Had just arrived.
