Storm in the Night

Part 1: Offer of a Lifetime

    Twila opened her icy blue eyes to see Alpha standing over her. "Dear god! Why the hell are you watching me!" She cried out, suprised. What a creep. she thought. Alpha looked at her and smiled. His yellow eyes shined with Lust. "I have a question for you, Beta" he said with a sly smile.

    "Just get it over with." she said grooming her pelt. "I want you to be my Luna." he said. Twila paused in her grooming. "Why, so you can have me as a playtime toy?" she asked in a snappish tone. "Fiesty as ever. Just the way I like my Lunas." he says with a sly tone. "Just give it a thought, ok?" he asked then turned and left her den.

    She sighed and stared at the wall. She was so lost in thought that she didn't hear her sister, Shimmer, enter. "Why was Alpha in here?" she asked her. Twila snaped from her thinking and looked at her sister. "Hey Shimmer. He wanted me to be his Luna, well more like his toy."

    Should I take up his offer? I mean I would be as equal as him and not just his adviser, but I like being a Beta, and  is it worth it? To just be his toy, his b***h, for a higher rank? Why is this so hard!

    "Twila, TWILA are you listening to me!" Shimmer asked irritated snapping her out of her thinking. "Uh... what did you ask?" She said looking at her tawny brown sister. "I asked if you wanted to go hunting. But you seem to busy with thinking." Shimmer said with a sigh.

    "I would love to go hunting!" she said getting up and shaking out her light grey pelt. And get Alpha and his offer off my mind. She added in her mind. Shimmer's icy blue eyes shone and she headed out. "Meet me at the clearing!" she called over her shoulder and was gone.

    Twila padded to the clearing, her pelt shined in the sun and was neatly groomed. She met Shimmer at the clearing and then they padded out into the forest. A while later she had caught an Owl and two mice. Shimmer had caught two voles and a rabbit.

    After they had deposited their catches in the food pile, Alpha padded up to them. "Nice catch Beta." he said.

"Or should I say Luna?" he asked with a sly smile. "Beta is fine. I have not decided if I want to be your toy yet." she said in a matter-of-fact voice.
