Ohh Yeah yeah
You faced down to your arms with closed eyes, a microphone on your hand, your thumbs sliding up and down repeatedly at the side of it. Troy's soft voice filling your ears while you listen to him as he begin to sing the very first verse of the song.
You opened your eyes, staring at the sea of white light shining faintly with dim lights in front of your eyes while the fans holding it sway it from left to right, you didn't even asked them to do it, they just did it all on their own.
[Troy]:
Admit it, we're finished,
You don't want me no more.
Like a nightmare, I lived it,
It was too big to ignore, Ooh.
I hear the sounds, but they pass me by.
My hazard lights are flashing
Somebody, anyone.
Troy's voice resonates around the full arena, along with the high tune of the piano as his fingers skillfully pressed the specific keys. Sergio's fingers lightly tapped the chosen beat of the music pad, his head bobbing up and down.
Help cause it's an emergency.
Someone just wounded my heart.
So help, Its like a bad surgery,
And now it's time to recharge.
I'm starting over taking
One, two, baby steps.
Three, four, baby steps.
Five, six, baby steps.
I'm starting over again.
You shift in your seat, moving your arms, placing the top of the mic just below the line of your lips.
[You]: (Sergio and Troy)
Abandoned, yeah I'm crying.
It's like you left me so dead
(So dead, so dead)
I'm so broken, my love's frozen.
How do you live with regrets
(Oh woah)
I see the memories flash before my eyes.
My tank is running empty
Somebody rescue me.
Help cause it's an emergency.
Someone just wounded my heart.
So help
It's like a bad surgery
And now it's time to recharge.
I'm starting over taking
One, two, baby steps.
Three, four, baby steps.
Five, six, baby steps.
I'm starting over again.
You breathed out a deep sigh, closing your eyes as you look down to the ground, swallowing the lump behind our throat while you push away the urge to cry in front of the crowd.
[Sergio]:
It's unexplainable
Kinda unobtainable
When, the person you love ain't enough.
I feel so pitiful
Look at my face
You'll know the pain is in my eyes.
I need some help.
Help cause it's an emergency.
Someone just wounded my heart.
So help
It's like a bad surgery
And now it's time to recharge.
You parted your lips, along with Troy, singing the the chorus altogether with Sergio. The sound of your voices combining creating great harmony pleasuring the ears of the crowd.
[All]:
I'm starting over taking,
One, two, baby steps.
Three, four, baby steps.
Five, six, baby steps.
I'm starting over taking,
One, two, baby steps.
Three, four, baby steps.
Five, six, baby steps.
I'm starting over again..
The palm of Troy's hand land against the back of his brother's neck, the sound of crisp skin hitting skin resonated the kitchen. Dinah looked up from her phone, totally surprised at what happened. Troy shyly smiled at her, nodding his head in assurance, letting Dinah known that Sergio's fine. Dinah continues what she was doing on her phone, rolling her eyes.
Troy pressed his lips into a tight line and looks back to his brother, seeing him rub his now red nape. "How could you tell me this just now?!" He whisper-yelled at his brother, taking the phone from Sergio's hand and scanning the picture closely. "Damn, she's a xerox copy of little Y/N isn't she?"
Sergio nods, looking at the picture as well. "I swear, if you were there, you'll be more shock than right now." He said. "And even more when Y/N's mom arrived."
"Why the f**k didn't you tell me this days ago?!" Troy suddenly yelled at his brother, getting the attention of Ally, who's cooking their breakfast. Normani, who's helping Ally and Dinah, again.
"That's it." Dinah placed her phone down on the table, crossing her arms against her chest. "Would you mind sharing what're you two talking bout'?"
Troy forced a laugh, stretching his mouth to an open smile. "It's nothing, we were just talking about..uh.." Troy's eyes averted from Dinah's glare.
"We're talking about Trisha." Sergio blurted out, his eyes widening from the excuse he'd said and looked towards his brother's reaction. He didn't even know why he said Trisha's name.
Ally turns her head around with her torso, looking back at the twins with a confused face. "Who's Trisha?"
Troy glared at his brother. "Just an old friend." He mumbled with tight lips.
Normani threw her hair back. "And why're you two talking about her?"
"Well, she lives here in Boston." Sergio replied.
"What?" Troy scrunched his eyebrows. "She is?"
"Duh, you're her ex boyfriend how could you not know?" Sergio says nonchalantly, sliding his hand through his jet black hair.
Troy's eyes widened at his brother had stupid revelation, the urge of slapping his face out his head was almost impossible since Sergio just blurted out a secret they've always kept for themselves, including you. Troy buried his face on his palm.
"I thought you said she's an old friend, Troy." Normani recalled.
"Well it is." Sergio slyly scratched his chin, realizing what he said. "But my brother here, had a tough history with her."
Dinah rests her chin on the palm of her hands while her elbows placed upon the table in front of her. "Ohh, I like gossip, tell us something bout her, Serg."
Sergio opened his mouth but been cut off when Troy wrapped his arm around his brothers neck and pulled him from his seat. "He can't, now if you'll excuse us," Troy said, pulling his brother towards the door to the outside. "We have to find our best friend, who's still very upset from what happened days ago." Troy said in raised voice, hoping that Lauren, who's in the other room with Camila, heard him.
Ally gripped the handle of the pan tightly, her tongue presses in between her teeth, the thought of Troy's ex girlfriend being at the same state as them was very threatening to her, she doesn't know why she's thinking about it but she hoped that the day, the two of them meeting again would never happen.
Your fingers pressed letters on the keyboard, head facing on the screen, eyes staring at the letters appearing on the blink of the line. It was funny how your work isn't the thing you're getting stressed out, but the events that happened in the whole entire week. Meeting your little sister that you've never even met, just days ago, your mother including, that you don't want to even see again. Then there's Lauren, she's so good with words isn't she?, in complements too.
Your ears picked up a creak of the door, you rolled your eyes, already having a hunch on who might it be. A bunch of goofs. Troy's head appeared in front of you, a annoying bright smile on his face.
"Your best friends are here." He said. "Did you miss us?"
"No, now go away."
Sergio snorted. "You know, Y/N. You really have the skill on greeting your best friends."
"You two really have the skill to annoy me."
Troy plopped down beside you on the couch. "We're your best friends, we're meant to annoy you." He stared at the screen, looking at what you're working on.
Sergio sat on the opposite side, leaning back to rest letting out a tired sigh. "So," He exhaled. "About Lauren.."
Troy turns his head at his brother, while you look up to him. "What about her?" He asked his brother, for you.
Sergio shrugged. "Well, you know. Are you still mad at her?"
Your brows furrowed. "I was never even mad at her."
"How come?" Troy asked. "It's not that I want you to but she just compared you to your brother, how can you not be mad at her."
" 'cause I know I'm not like my brother," You mumbled, typing on the laptop in front of you. "And I will never be like him, I will never be like someone my mother wanted me to be. It's like you all said, I can be better than Brad." You paused, looking at the both of them. "For now, I just want to find out Lauren and avoid the all of the girls as long as I can."
"I doubt you'll be able to do that." Sergio whispered.
"How will you be able to find Lauren out?" Sergio lightly hit the back of his brothers head. "Google you idiot."
"You two always assume Google knows everything." Troy says.
"Brother, Google indeed knows everything."
"Alright, now the both of you shut up." You groaned at them, continuing to type on the keyboard.
"What are you even working on?" Troy asked looking at you're working on.
"The Album." You replied plainly. "It's going to be released next week."
Sergio placed his finger on his chin. "Speaking of our album, what's going to be its name?"
You turn to him, a smirk on your face. "Revealed."
The moon glowed from the distance, its silver light lightening up stars that are scattered around the dark sky. Trees rustle by the cold breeze, the chilled air biting warm skin. Camila wrapped her arms around her body, trying to keep herself warm, regretting that she wore the cardigan before going outside rather than wearing a jacket, the thin layer of cloth doesn't even warm her from the cold just even by a tiny bit.
Camila inhaled the fresh breeze, her eyes squinting close by the strong wind passing by her face. It was almost midnight, her band mates were asleep, the lights of their tour bus switched off and the other buses around the area that the workers use. Camila's eyes scanned the empty opening in front of her, walking down the path listening to the pit pattering of the heels of her shoes.
She was still worried about you, after the whole fight the next morning you left and never came back again. The twins told her that you're staying at a nearby hotel, she tried asking them where but they never answered. She thought you're still mad, thinking that maybe those little moments that the two of you spent for the past few days leads for you to get closer to her and to the girls, but escalated quickly back to zero, thanks to her best friend, Lauren.
"You know, it's not very safe for you to be all alone out here."
Camila turned around from the voice in panic. She let out a relief sigh placing a hand on her chest, seeing you a few meters away from her, a black jacket enveloping your body, a bonnet on your head and a plastic bag on your hand. "It's only you," she dragged her palm on the side of her face. "You scared me, I thought someone sneaked past security."
You grinned. "What're you doing out here? It's almost midnight and rehearsals are early in the morning."
Camila shyly bit her lips looking away, heat creeping slowly in her cheeks. "I..uh..-I was just..uh." Camila stuttered.
A small smirk curved at the side of your lips, looking at Camila with an amused expression. Finding her very adorable. "Were you waiting for me? Camila?"
This time, Camila's face turn bright red, silently thanking the dark that you wouldn't be able how red she was. She hesitated for a moment before nodding her head slowly admitting it.
You chuckle, making Camila's ears perked by the sound an unwilling making a warm smile curve slowly on her lips. "You're so cute." You complemented, your feet slowly making its way towards her.
You threw your arm around the shoulder of the small figure, pulling her against your side as you gazed out to the open field, staring at the faint flickering shine of the stars. Camila tilts her head, resting her head on your shoulders relishing the peaceful night, the howl of the wind and sound of crickets crawling into her ears.
You hoist up the white plastic bag you're carrying on your other arm and hand it out to Camila. "What's that?" She asked looking down at the bag then to your eyes.
"Yogurt." You replied smirking at her. "Banana flavored."
She took the bag from your hand, opening it wide to scan the items. "Why does these look like this is all planned?"
"Well, Troy told me that you've been sleeping late and you always ask where I was, so I kinda knew you'd be waiting for me tonight." You looked at her from the side, winking down at her.
She lightly shoved you using her side. "Don't act cocky now." She giggled. "I was worried about you, the girls too, including Lauren."
You snorted when she announced Lauren's name. "I doubt that."
"No, she really does." She pushed. "Believe me, even if she doesn't say it, I know she's worried."
"Don't assume on things you little monkey." You placed your hand on her head and messed her hair. "Let's not talk about her, let's talk about you. How's your day?"
"Better now." She smiled warmly up to you, shifting her body in front of you before wrapping her arms around you and place the side of her head on your chest, her ears picking up the faint beat of your heart.
"It's because of me, right?" You chuckle. "I always had that effect on other people."
"Wow, Y/N." Camila looks up at you giggling. "Are you always this cocky?"
"Only on special persons." You breathe out. "And the twins."
"So I'm special?"
You playfully hummed, squinting your eyes as if you're thinking. "I don't know, maybe." You shrugged smirking at her.
"Well then, it's an honor being one of the special persons in your life." She grinned at you. "The question is, what number am I?"
You bit your lip squinting your eyes, thinking for a moment. "Fifth, I think?"
"Fifth?" Camila exclaimed, surprised. "I expected it to be far than that but damn, are you that antisocial?"
"No, I just hate fake people." You replied. "I've met so many pretentious people when I was a kid, Camila, and I f*****g hate it."
You feel Camila's arms tighten around you. "Don't worry, Y/N." She whispered in her small husky voice, now burying her face in the crook of your neck. "I won't let you down for trusting me."
Sergio lift the pan up from the flame and twist it over letting the freshly cooked pancake fall down to the white ceramic plate his other hand holding. Ally raised her arms, her fingers grasping the smooth curtains spreading it wide letting the morning sun beam into the kitchen. She pushed the windows open, inhaling the morning breeze blowing past her face.
Troy sat on the counter behind the two, his chin resting on his palm, his brown orbs taking in the beautiful sight before him, slightly irritated that his brothers figure squeezing in the sight he's admiring. Lauren came trudging in the kitchen, rubbing her eyes open to wake herself up from her sleepy state.
"Good Morning." Troy greeted her, still admiring then certain small girl in front of him.
Lauren blinked, staring at him dumbfounded. "...good morning?.." She greeted back slowly, surprised at the boy since after the fight he never spoke to her again, just now.
Lauren took a sit, a one seat apart from Troy, staring at the side of his face wondering why he talked to her. Soon enough, her sight was blocked by her band mates figure, Dinah, who took a sit at the vacant seat between them.
"Good morning." She greeted brightly. "Y'all finished cooking yet, Serg? I'm hungry"
Sergio turns his head sideways. "Almost, wait for a few minutes."
Normani sat beside Lauren, to her left, rubbing her sleepy eyes. "What's for breakfast?"
"Same old pancakes, eggs and bacon." Ally answered cracking the eggs on the pan.
"Good morning..." You mumbled entering the kitchen.
Heads turn towards your direction, their eyes wide, staring at you by the door while you cover our mouth as a yawn escaped your lips and your tired eyes drooping close. You drag your lazy feet towards the empty seat next to Normani, ignoring the stare burning on the side of your face as they watch you.
"When did you get here?" Troy asked puzzled.
"Checked out of the hotel last night." You replied sleepily, scratching the skin below your nape.
Sergio transfered the egg on the plate with a spatula, turning around to look at you with a confused expression. "That's odd.." He crossed his arms against his chest and tilt his head. "I've locked the door to our bunks."
"Why do you lock the door to your bunks?" Normani asked.
"Nothing..." He forced a tight smile.
Troy twists his seat, leaning his arm on the counter and tilt his head looking over to you. "Coming to think of it, where did you sleep?"
As on cue Camila came strolling in the room catching everyone's attention, taking the last seat next to you, crossing her arms on the counter and lying her head on it. Her tired orbs stared up at you.
"You should've wake me up." She yawned.
You shrugged. "Eh, we slept late last night, I think you needed more sleep."
Dinah's stared at the two of you for a moment listening to your conversation, letting it all sink in before opening her mouth. "What the actual f**k?!"
Normani and Troy boomed in laughter while the two cooks in the kitchen with their eyes widen almost had their eyes fall out from their sockets. Lauren's lips parted, a hidden venomous glare emitted in her eyes, looking straight at Camila. She didn't knew why, but her chest were like being squeezed and her eyes stinging slowly.
"D-did..did you two?.." Sergio stumbled on his words. "You two slept together?"
You nodded. "I don't know where else to go, you guys locked the door."
Camila's head shot up from the counter, face flushed. "Y/N!" She screeched covering her face. "We did not slept together."
"Uhh, we did." You looked at her confused. "Why do you say that when you're just cuddling with me like a koala 10 minutes ago."
"Oh my gosh, Camila." Dinah exclaimed. "You sneaky little- already? It's been like what? A month and a half since you two meet and you already took the next step."
Troy slammed his hand on the counter, laughing uncontrollably. Knowing that you don't really know what you meant and how his brothers jealousy radiating off from where he's standing. He looks up and gathered himself together, wiping his tears in his eyes.
"They really took what you said differently, Y/N." He stifled a laugh.
Your brows scrunched for a moment before realizing what he meant. "Oh, no no no. Camila and I haven't done it, I just slept in her bed since our bunks was locked." You bashfully clarify to the girls, your face flushed.
"You said haven't meaning you're planning on it?" Dinah teased.
"No!.. I mean." You frustratedly sigh feeling why you're being affected on all this. "Look, Camila's a wonderful girl, a very beautiful girl, but I only see her as a friend."
Camila nods her head to the girls, agreeing on you. "Yes, I only see Y/N as a friend, nothing more than that." She says tangling her arm around yours.
"Uhh..Camila, Y/N.." Normani called still looking down on her phone. "I don't think that it's only going to be us that you'll be explaining what happened last night." She added.
"Why?"
Normani twisted her phone towards you. You all looked closely, reading the bold heading that is the first to catch all of your attention. A date under the stars?. You read the article with eyes wide, staring at the picture of you and Camila, with her arms around you and her head buried in the crook of your neck. Just when you thought you got your s**t together, someone just had to ruin it.
