Highschool Highs(Chapter-4)

Ava joined me the way outside the class. She had hazel eyes with sharp jawline complementing her wavy caramel brown hair. She is rather calm as compared to me, I kept my mocking nature in check as I didn't know what will be her reaction. I didn't want to offend her.

"Hey, I'm Ava Marshall", she introduced herself offering a hand to shake.

"Nice to meet you sunshine", I replied pressing  her hand into  mine. 

"Thank You so much for agreeing to help me, I really need it," I emphasized.

We were having a little chit chat. Thanks to my little extrovert nature, I don't face major issues making friends as I'm used to moving and have had experienced a lot of cultural diversity.

She seemed a nice girl, cute but a bit introvert.

 Suddenly, someone bombarded us from behind, so vigorously that we almost were to crash into the floor but we somehow succeeded in keeping our balance and averted the fall. Flushed with rage, we turned towards whoever it was as we thought that whoever it was, had done that deliberately.

"Sorry, sorry guys I didn't meant to push you. I'm so sorry. Are you okay?"

She was a Blonde , tall girl with a figure every girl would crave. Her dressing  was screaming how good her fashion sense was. Her apology failed my assumption about the assaulter.

My anger vanished, as fast as it was appeared.

"Sophie....!!"

"It's okay" I cut Ava as she was about to start and smiled to the blonde girl. Her face lighted up with a warm smile. She grabbed both of us, her arms stretched each over one our shoulders with her perfectly  visible manicured fingers.

"So Ms. Claire Byrne , I'm Sophie Richards, your friend from now on. Now tell me how does it feel sitting right next to him, The Alex Turner."

I didn't actually know how to respond to her, a puzzled look spread over my face. I was perplexed.

"It feels worst", I gave a one word answer followed by a question, "How do you know my name?"

"Mr. Pastor enchanted your name like a 100 times in the class today moreover, you were the center of attraction for the whole class because you were the first one dared to sit on his seat right next to him, now seriously tell me what did he say", she finished to rest her exhausting lungs.

"He's actually a jerk, Sophie", I scowled.

"You're boring, I mean he's so hot and handsome but anyways; I like girls like you", she said grinning , tightening her hold over me and I was thinking, just thinking about how blunt and straightforward she was, with a 'What?' expression on my face. But from experience, I can say that people like her are good at heart. Whatever's there in their heart, its on their tongue as well. You can say that I have this magical gut feeling.

"Please stop Sophie", Ava said with a tired expression. 

"Okay, Shhhhh", Sophie chuckled placing her index finger of right hand over her pink glossy lips.

"So how about coming over my place in order to begin with completing your project?" Ava lent me a sincere glance.

"But Mr. Pastor haven't assigned me any topic yet", I said.

"He's very punctual, you'll have that by the end of the day," she chuckled.

"Thank You so much once again Ava."

"No probs, I'll text you my address, give me your number".

We exchanged phone numbers. Sophie was still with us.

"You won't invite me?" Sophie asked faking a cry baby face.

"Do I have to invite you? You are my best friend".

"Aww", Sophie hugged her tightly.

"Moreover, I can't stop you from coming even if I want to", Ava forced out words from her mouth along with a mild laugh. 

Sophie freed her from her captivity and mildly punched her in the arm.

All of us laughed and headed towards our next classes, unfortunately, none of us had any other class together for the entire day but fortunately nor did I have one common with Mr. Whatever too, thank god.

School went on smoothly for the rest of the day. I had my lunch in the lawn in front of the school building. It was a calm place with warming sun rays touching your cheeks. I don't like sitting in cafeteria as I usually avoid sights of high on hormones teens flirting and seducing each other. Further, juniors playing there was quite a seen worth watching. They seemed very energetic and lively.

Ava and Sophie joined me there as I was sitting alone (cos they were unaware of the fact that although I'm very social, I enjoy my company a lot) I'm happy to have them. Life's good!

"But tomorrow we won't gonna sit here. You have to join us in the cafeteria as we've joined you today, here", Sophie ordered me. 

I chuckled and nodded in approval. But she knew in the hearts of her heart, making out from my expression that I'm not gonna sit in the cafeteria morrow.

The day passed. It wasn't that hard as I was presuming. Campus was good, students were friendly and teachers were cooperative.

When I went to our car in the parking, I saw Cole talking to a blonde head(Okay, flirting with a blonde head) I wonder, How he manages to lure girls in such a short span of time. I don't mean that he's not handsome but still. Anyways, as he saw me approaching, he ceased his conversation with her with a good bye hug and got into the car, rushing it towards me. I got in , welcomed by an embarrassed grin. He knew that I have seen everything so he began explaining himself.

"You know me lil sis, don't worry I neither cheat girls nor hurt their feelings".

"I know Cole", I chuckled.

"And saying for the millionth time, I'm your elder sister", I said with a sigh.

He smiled.
