The warehouse fell into complete silence. Rain pounded against the rusted roof as Adrian and Damien stood face to face. Neither of them blinked. Neither of them spoke. It was as though time itself had stopped. Aria looked between the two men, confused. "You... know each other?" Damien let out a bitter laugh. "Know each other?" He slowly removed the silver pendant from around his neck. "We grew up together." Adrian's expression hardened. "We were more than friends." Damien's smile faded. "We were brothers." --- Fifteen years earlier... Two young boys raced through a green field, laughing as they chased one another. One was Adrian Knight. The other was Damien Cross. "I won!" young Adrian shouted. "No, you cheated!" Damien laughed, tackling him into the grass. Their fathers watched from a distance, smiling proudly. The Knight and Cross families had once been inseparable. Until everything changed. --- Back in the present... "What happened?" Aria whispered. Damien's eyes filled with hatred. "Ask him." Adrian clenched his fists. "It wasn't my fault." "Wasn't it?" Damien shouted. "My father trusted your family!" "And a week later..." "...he was arrested for a crime he didn't commit." Aria gasped. Damien continued. "My mother couldn't bear the shame." "She died." "My father died in prison." "And I lost everything." His voice cracked for the first time. "I was left alone." --- Adrian lowered his head. "I searched for you." Damien laughed bitterly. "Too late." "I didn't know where you were." "You didn't try hard enough." Silence filled the warehouse once more. Aria could see the pain in both men's eyes. This wasn't simply revenge. It was years of grief. Years of unanswered questions. --- Suddenly... BANG! A gunshot echoed through the warehouse. Everyone froze. A bullet struck one of Damien's men in the shoulder. "What was that?" Ethan shouted. Another gunshot rang out. This time... It came from the upper level of the warehouse. A mysterious sniper dressed in black stood on a metal walkway. His rifle was aimed directly at Damien. Damien's eyes widened. "No..." The sniper fired again. Damien barely dodged the bullet. Chaos erupted. The mysterious shooter wasn't targeting Adrian. He was trying to kill Damien. "Who is that?" Aria cried. Damien looked toward the shadows. His face turned pale. "...Impossible." Adrian frowned. "You know him?" Damien's voice trembled. "He was supposed to be dead." The sniper lowered his rifle and disappeared into the darkness before anyone could catch him. Only one thing remained behind... A golden ring engraved with the initials... A.C. Adrian picked it up slowly. His eyes widened. "It can't be..." Aria looked at him. "What does it mean?" Adrian stared at the ring in disbelief. "It belonged to..." "...my father." โ™ก๏ธŽ ๐‘ป๐’ ๐‘ฉ๐’† ๐‘ช๐’๐’๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’–๐’†๐’…... โ™ก๏ธŽ
