The decision did not need to fill the room with echoes, it was immediate and moved really fast.
Like the moment Kael said it out loud, the world shifted to meet it, and everything that had been waiting for first light snapped forward into something urgent and unrelenting.
He opened the door and stepped into the hall without looking back, already issuing orders before I had fully followed him out, his voice cutting cleanly through the quiet that had settled over the keep.
“Wake them. We move now.”
It didn’t need to be louder than that.
It carried anyway.
