~CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN~ The car door opens before I can reach for it. One of Hardin’s men steps out first, scanning the surroundings with military precision before nodding for me to exit. I straighten my spine, slide out of the car, and lift my chin. Whatever fear coils in my chest, I refuse to let it show. Hardin is already moving, his presence commanding without a word. I fall into step beside him, my heels clicking softly against the pavement. The entrance to the club looms massive and dark, all steel and shadows. The security men stationed there are built like walls, broad shoulders, stone face but the moment they see Hardin, something shifts. They lower their heads in silent respect. Not casual. Not polite. Reverent. The sight sends a chill through me. These men are not afraid
