Carla
I hummed in response as he ever so slowly licked the rim of my ear. This was too much. Too good.
Taking my ear lobe between his teeth, he gently nibbled on it, earning a closed-lipped moan from me. This felt extremely good.
Well, good had to be an understatement. It felt awesome!
His hand trailed down south and he gently brushed my pubic bone. I bit my lip and closed my eyes letting him control me.
I rested my head on his shoulder. He looked right into my eyes and slightly pecked my lips. His hand now nudged against my core.
He slightly parted my legs with his own and slightly brushed my already dripping core. This was way too much pleasure.
His crystal eyes bore into mine. I gulped looking at them. He yanked my panties down in a flash. I could feel his member pressing my c**t. I closed my eyes, anticipation killing me!
Beep
Beep
Beep
I groaned and pushed the blanket off of my face. I turned to my side and slammed my fist on the alarm clock.
Wet dream. I guess you become desperate when you haven't slept with anyone in almost a year. And this time the man wasn't faceless or anything, it was Aeden f*****g Beckett.
He has been haunting me everywhere. Since Nina asked me to visit her every day, I'm obliged to see his damn face.
That day was one heck of a day.
~that day
"Walking back for this?" His husky voice reverberated. I moved my head to the side to see Aeden standing uncomfortably close to me holding my purse.
"Ye...Yes." I stuttered like an i***t.
"Here you go," he said and chuckled.
"Thanks," I said as I took my purse from him.
"So you are the infamous Carla Ray that my mom keeps talking about all the time," he said and looked right into my eyes, making my knees weak.
"Shall we sit," he said gesturing towards the cafe. I just nodded. I had to tell him about his mother's last wish. God knows what Nina had planned. The woman had lost it.
He pulled out a chair and asked me to sit. Such a gentleman! Nobody has ever done this to me. Not even my ex-boyfriend, even though we were together for three years.
"So Miss. Ray, you ran?" He asked me as he sat down opposite of me and crossed one of his legs over the other.
"Yeah about that..." I said as I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.
"Mrs. Beckett wants me to marry you," I said all in one go closing my eyes.
"I know," he whispered softly. I opened my eyes and glared at him. He knows?
"My mom has been trying to convince me to marry for a week now," he said as he chuckled and looked down.
"I told her I have a girlfriend, whom I love very much but, that didn't sit well with her and now she's in the hospital." He sighed defeatedly.
What! He had a girlfriend? wait, was Pearl his girlfriend? If I put two and two together, then that leaves Pearl and Cliff. Cliff can't be his girlfriend so, Pearl. It was Pearl.
"No. Mrs. Beckett is in the hospital because of me. She asked me to marry you and I denied." I retorted almost immediately.
"Keep thinking that," he said looking at me. I didn't understand what he was trying to say. Talking to this man was also difficult because every time he looked at me, I couldn't help but shiver. Only I know how I was trying not to seem like an i***t.
"She asked me to marry you today and I agreed. I wasn't aware that you were already in a relationship and I agreed to it." I said. I was guilty. I may be separating a happy couple.
"I know," he said and looked into my eyes. A jolt ran straight down to my core. Those blue eyes were something else.
"I figured it out by the way you ran out," he said. Just then a waiter came by to take our order. I had almost forgotten that we were seated in the outdoor area of the cafe.
"A cup of tea, please," he said in his sinfully alluring English accent. Why does it feel so good when he speaks?
The snapping of fingers bought me out of my trance. I looked at him and he looked at me with the same confusion I had on my face.
"Your order?" He asked raising one of his perfect brows.
"Ya. Umm... I'll just have a glass of water," I said looking towards the waiter.
"Anything else?" He asked uncertainly, looking at me. "No, thanks," I said with a forced smile and he walked away nodding.
I was starving but I didn't want to eat right now. Not with him around. He was already a distraction and I didn't want food to distract me.
"Really, you not hungry?" He asked as he leaned back and crossed his arms.
"No," I just replied. An awkward silence blanketed us. He just kept glaring at me and I averted my gaze and looked everywhere but him.
"So?" I asked him after some time, as his silence was too much for me to handle. I wanted to finish this conversation as soon as possible.
"Thanks," he said to the waiter as he set the cup down. Wow, that was fast. These guys really sever stuff fast.
"So what? You and I get married," he said calmly as he sipped on his tea.
Is he even serious? Doesn't he have a girlfriend already? I looked at him. His eyes are calm rendering no emotion. I couldn't make out anything.
"Are you serious? You have a girlfriend," I scoffed. He was still calm and that was annoying me.
"There is no other way out Carla. My mother is dying there and if I can give her a few days of joy, I will do it." He said as he put the cup down and placed his hands on the table and interlocked his fingers.
"I get that Aeden, but, what about your girlfriend? Won't she be mad?" I asked him.
"She was and she still is," he said, making me frown.
"I have already told her about it. I will marry you but I'll be faithful to her. I have asked my lawyer to meet us soon and will draft a contract. We will be just married on paper. You can sleep, see and be with anybody you want but make sure it's secretive enough so that both of our careers don't get destroyed." He said nonchalantly.
I was relieved but it did sting too. I always thought I would marry out of love. Be happy. I was getting married to a man who had a girlfriend and he chose to be faithful to her. Why wouldn't he? They love each other unlike me, who isn't capable of being loved.
He would be extremely careful about it. After all, he is the heir to Nina's billion-dollar company and I guess he had his own company too, probably. I remember Nina mentioning something like that. All in all, they were super-rich.
I was attracted to Aeden but I still didn't want to marry him. It was still unsettling that he didn't even try to make this marriage work. Whatever little hope I had was crushed.
I pushed the duvet off of my body and got down. I shivered as my foot came in contact with the floor. Illinois winter is a b***h.
I strode to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I took a quick shower and changed my clothes.
I wore a simple striped T-shirt and blue skinny jeans and threw a leather jacket on top. I just brushed my hair and let it down. I applied a little makeup and took my sunglasses.
I walked down and took my handbag and my car keys. Locking the door, I walked to my car and drove to the address Aeden had sent me.
We were going to discuss the clauses of our contract marriage today. I was nervous but was looking forward to ending it as soon as possible.
I parked my car and got out of it. I took out my phone and gave Aeden a call, despite looking for him everywhere, I didn't find him.
"Hello? Where are you?" I asked as he picked up the phone.
"Look behind," he said and I turned. He stood behind me wearing a light blue polo shirt. The sleeves hugged his biceps, revealing half of it. My eyes traced one of his nerves that went up and hid under his sleeve. His light stubble still gave me a sneak peek of his extremely sharp jawline.
Glasses? No glasses? He might have switched to his lenses. And he still looked handsome as ever. His eyes sparked with a very foreign emotion.
Holy hell! Who is this man?
"Hi," he said waving his hand and flashing a beautiful smile. His smile was just as intoxicating as him.
I blinked a few times and licked my lips and gave him a tight-lipped smile. An unknown warmth filled me as he greeted me and smiled at me.
"Shall we," he said and guided us to the table.
His lawyer kept glancing at me and I didn't like it one bit. He was staring at me and he wasn't even ashamed of it. I tucked a lock behind my ear as I moved my eyes from him and followed Aeden.
Aeden didn't bother to introduce us to each other and I wasn't keen on knowing who his attorney was too.
I sat down and to my dismay, the lawyer sat next to me and Aeden sat opposite of me. It was extremely uncomfortable.
I shifted a little in my seat and from the corner of my eye, I saw that guy smirk at my actions. Ignoring him, I kept my eyes on Aeden.
"Let's start," he said and I just nodded.
Since I was a lawyer myself, I didn't have one. I knew what I wanted and I was not going to compromise for it.
They began to explain everything. Like what we are allowed to do and what not. I was quite pleased with the contract till they mentioned the termination part of it.
"No. People will know." I said looking up at Aeden.
"What?" He asked confused.
"2 months. It's too short and predictable." I said shaking my head.
"We want something that is believable. We know that this marriage is a sham but for them, it should look like an actual one." I told.
He looked at me probably trying to process what I just told him. We have to have a believable term to end this marriage.
"6 months?" He asked after pondering upon what I just said.
"No, more," I said but dread crept when I felt a heavy presence on my thigh. I twisted my head to the side to see his stupid attorney smirking, whiled he rested his hand on my thigh.
I didn't want to make a scene. Therefore barring my teeth, I placed my hand on his and dug my perfectly manicured nails into his skin. He winced and I took the opportunity to pry his hand away from my thigh.
But that seemed to have irked him as he moved his hand upward. Dread filled me as he kept moving his hand up, despite my efforts to take it off.
"1 year?" I heard Aeden ask.
"No, too much," I said and cursed inwardly.
He was smirking as he still didn't stop. By this time, I was panicking. He had reached my inner thighs and since the time my ex-boyfriend, Jack left me, I haven't let any man come closer to me.
"8 months," I said in panic and I heard him say something but I couldn't process any of it.
But the next second, I saw the stupid guy on the ground. I got up from my seat and looked at him horrified.
I looked to my right to see a seething Aeden. I was breathing heavily. He looked so scary. His perfect jaw was clenched hard. He kept glaring at the i***t. His eyes were blood red and a nerve on his forehead popped. His hands curled into tight fists as he looked menacing.
"Call the cops," he growled and I jolted. I looked around to see everyone's attention glued to us. I wasted no time taking out my phone to call 911 but I saw an officer appear with another man.
"I'm the manager here, we called the police because of the commotion." He said calmly.
"Good. Arrest him. He was harassing her," Aeden said still glaring at the guy on the ground.
"Is he right ma'am?" The cop asked me and I bobbed my head up and down in approval.
He bent down and handcuffed the i***t and pulled him up to his feet. "We would like you to drop by to register your complaint later," he said I nodded. I was gonna let him go either.
"Thank you," Aeden's gruff voice came out before I could answer.
Next, he held my wrist as he pulled me with him. I stumbled a step or two trying to match his footing but he didn't stop. We reached a car soon and that is when he stopped.
"What was that?" I asked, shocked.
"He harassed you and I don't like it when a man, touches a woman without her permission," he said looking right into my eyes. His penetrating gaze burned through me.
He is everything a girl wants in her man but sadly, he will never be mine.
