I stared at the closed doors. Lily was in the pack house. Safe.
"We still don't know if she feels the mate bond. Or if she can feel it since she's wolfless," Jace reminded.
"At least she's less stiff around us. It's slow but it's progress. She's trusting us." I told him.
I drew my gaze away from the door and headed back to my office. I'd already instructed the staff to help her with whatever she needed and not let her overexert herself.
Thinking back, it saddened me that she thought I was bringing her here for work.
"Maybe that's what she was taught."
