(Kanyon's POV)
I stopped outside the library. I took a deep breath, staring at my fingers.
"What was that?" I asked Jace.
"Congratulations, you two have officially initiated the mate bond."
"What does that mean?"
"Means it'll be impossible for you two to ignore each other any longer."
"I'm not ignoring her."
"Well, not anymore."
I didn’t reply. I just stared at my fingers.
I had initially gone to Lily's room to check on her, but she wasn't there. One of the maids told me she spent most of her time in the library now.
I was glad. As long as she wasn't hauling stacks of books around, she'd be fine. From what I'd seen, she wasn't.
She was only trying to find herself.
I frowned, replaying the conversation. I can't believe she thought I'd reprimand her for being in the library.
