The hero of the Celestial Hundred Dmytro Maksymov spent many nights on the Maidan secretly from his family standing guard at the barricades and holding off attacks of security forces.
On February 18 when all subway stations in Kyiv were closed, his mum asked Dima to stay at his friend's place for the night—but he went to the center of Kyiv. That was one of the most fearful nights of the Euromaidan. The police attacked from several directions, they managed to break through some barricades.
