On March 19, 2014 the hero of the Celestian Hundred Aleksandr Baliuk was to celebrate his 40th anniversary. He did not make one month to it. His heart stopped on February 20 after a sniper’s shot.
Aleksandr was born in a small village Pylypovychi, Zhytomyr region. “Ever since his school years he’s been an active and sporty guy, kind, handsome and hard-working,—tells his sister Olga Baliuk.— He grew up in a family of intellectuals: his father was an engineer, his mother— an economist.”
Before the Maidan began he worked as a builder at Moscow. On December 30, 2013 he got heavily burned as a result of a fire caused by wire ignition.
