Saving Marcus

1250 Words
Catherine couldn't help but look up as she followed the aspect of Vivian's finger to see Mark on a large, huge billboard. Catherine's heart tightened; the Mark on the billboard was even more handsome, his knife-like face more mature than a few years ago, and even the photo exuded the aura of a king, which could not be blocked. Catherine quickly withdrew her eyes and pulled Vivian's hand tighter as she passed under Mark's billboard. Still undeterred, Vivian turned back to Mark and pointed at him, "Mommy, do you think it looks like it looks like it looks like it looks like it looks like it looks like it looks like it looks like it looks." Catherine just wanted to get out of this party quickly, she said as she took Vivian's hand with her heart in her mouth. "Not at all, Vivian is much prettier looking than that one." Vivian was pulled along by Catherine, who was still looking back fondly at the billboard. The decision to bring Vivian back had occurred to Catherine as a possibility that the So she must protect Vivian's identity and be determined not to let Mark find out! Otherwise, he would have done anything to take Vivian away from her. Catherine deliberately dressed Vivian with a hat, a mask, and sunglasses. Then, she grabbed her luggage, put her inside the cart, and headed out of the airport to meet Joey first. Vivian sat on the tiny one in the wide suitcase like a mascot, as cute as it would get. The little one got excited and accidentally dropped her cute flowerpot hat, and Catherine stopped to help her pick it up. Unexpectedly, a flaming red heel stepped nonchalantly on the edge of the hat and stopped Catherine's movement. Catherine frowned, and she heard the familiar sound before she could look upward. "Sorry, slippery feet," Laura said arrogantly. They had grown up together, and Laura had always hated Catherine and made boring gestures. Catherine was used to it and didn't bother to get on Laura's bad side. I didn't realize that she still hadn't grown after a year's absence! With an unmistakable, faint smile, Catherine did not respond at first to her provocation. Still, she silently picked up her hat, which she had trodden on with a boot print. Pick it up and, with gentle movements, clean the dust off of it. Laura rolled her eyes as she watched the movement of her eyes dropping to clean up. She knew this woman would always look like a contrary and a bully. Laura hated it when she looked like this. Because of her little white-flower-like personality, the men always rushed up to protect her, even Mark, who was always pining for her! Laura's face hardened even more at the thought of Mark. This woman has been gone for four years. What's she doing back all of a sudden? Did ...... know that the family was brokering her engagement to Mark and deliberately came back to stir things up? Before she could think of anything else, she saw Catherine put the cleaned hat back on the head of a heavily armed child next to her, her eyes full of tenderness. Vivian covered her hat and looked at Laura with a disgruntled grunt. Bad woman! Stomping on her pretty hat! Laura was about to lash out when she suddenly became unsteady on her feet and fell heavily to one side! She couldn't believe it, staring wide-eyed at Catherine in front of her, and with a thud, she collapsed onto the cold, hard tiles of the airport, nearly falling on her ass! "Haha, hahaha!" Vivian clapped and laughed, "It's so embarrassing to fall when you're such an adult!" When she came out, she drew much attention. Hence, pedestrians looked over, amused by her innocent tone and Laura's wolfish appearance. Laura was green in the face. How could she have fallen when she was standing perfectly still just now? It was this Catherine who tripped her with her foot! How dare she, how dare she? "Your feet are so slippery; get better shoes." Catherine said coolly, pushing Vivian to leave. Laura sat down on the cold ground and surprisingly didn't get up smoothly for a while. To make matters worse, the collaborator she had traveled to pick up had arrived at some point and was watching from a short distance away! Shame! It's just so humiliating! How else was she supposed to negotiate with her partners? Catherine, you wait! When she's engaged to Mark, the first thing she'll do is make her look good! Catherine didn't even bother with people like that and went outside the airport to meet up with Joey successfully. She and Joey were best friends growing up together. Of course, that's because the Wolffs and the Anthony's are close, and Joey and Mark are as good as brother and sister. Of the few friends they had grown up with, she and Joey were the only girls, and it was only natural that the two of them were a little closer. Catherine looked at Vivian beside her with a complicated look. She entrusts Vivian to Joey to help take care of her first. Joey was naturally thrilled to see Catherine back and surprised after learning that Catherine was with their child. "Catherine, Vivian isn't supposed to be my brother's child, is she?" Joey asked in a small and incredulous voice as he settled Vivian into one of his cottages. Vivian had been playing on the plane, which would have tired her, and she had fallen asleep. Not wanting to hide it from Joey, Catherine nodded. "You promise me you won't tell anyone about this yet." Joey's brow furrowed as he spoke with a complex expression, "How long do you think you can keep this from him with his power?" Catherine didn't say anything. "A moment's worth of concealment is a moment's worth." Joey sighed and nodded, "Okay, I'll keep your secret, and you can think about it yourself." At this point, Joey was about to say something else but finally swallowed the words that came to his lips. It was better for the two to settle things between Catherine and Mark; outsiders couldn't do anything. But with Catherine back, could someone's dead heart be reborn? - After settling in with Vivian, Catherine stood at the front door of the Marcus family, thinking about how she had left four years ago with Vivian in her body and how desperate she had been to go. She gritted her teeth and stepped into the home she had said goodbye to for four years, where once the family's servants were now only a few older men. Marina then saw Catherine standing downstairs; she couldn't believe her eyes and couldn't control the tears streaming down her face at once. "Katherine, is that Katherine?" "It's me, Mom." Catherine was also very excited inside. Marina immediately rushed down the stairs and stepped forward to take Catherine in her arms, looking her up and down. "It's my Catherine, Marcus. Hurry down; Catherine is back." Marina immediately shouted at the top of her lungs. Marcus walked out to see Catherine return with the same incredulous look on his face, but he was much calmer than Marina, and he nodded at Catherine. "Catherine's back." Catherine called out again, "Dad." Marina hugged Catherine and cried, "It's good to have Catherine back. Come back, and the Marcus family will be saved. Catherine, you must save the Marcus family."
