After Kate left I went back inside and started playing video games. I wanna come and see her race but how we just left off I don't think it's a good idea for me to show up. I just stayed home and played my games.
Brooke called me a few times but I didn't answer. Zoey tried but I still didn't answer. Then a few moments later Jake's calling me I still don't answer the phone. After 3 times of Jake calling me I finally answered "Dude learn to answer your phone.
Kate was in a wreck and is at the hospital, it's bad dude you need to com.." I hung up on him and made my way there. "Where is she" I asked. "she's in surgery right now just waiting on the doc" said Brooke. An hour later a doc comes out "Family of Kate?" "That's us" I said, "is she okay?"
"She's stable the surgery went well she got a broken arm and her shoulder was dislocated but she's in a coma and we don't know when she'll wake up" the doc informs us. "Can we go see her now" Kate's mom asked "yes you can" Kate's mom, Emma and Zoey went in first.
I went outside to smoke a cig and Jake followed. "hey man you okay?" he asked. "I wish i could take what i said to her back" "what did you say" "I f*****g told her that the kiss didn't mean anything other than a dare" I punched the wall, "I was scared man I started falling for her since we went to homecoming"
It's been a week since the crash. She is still in coma no improvement yet. I've been here since then too. I'm sitting in the room next to the bed. "Emma misses you Kate she's been asking when will you wake up." I've been talking to her about everything too. "We all miss you."
I lean in as I reach for her hand. I started rubbing her hand. "I wish I could take what I said to you back, that kiss did mean something I just wish it wasn't a dare I wanted our first kiss to be special" I look down at her hand as I'm rubbing it. "I wanted wait until you wake up to say it for the first time but I need to say it now...I love you Kate"
