"Where did Kate go?" Liam asked. "she said she had an emergency at home" I said, "I'll check on her when I get home" I added. We chatted for awhile about school and everything. Hours later "hey man I'm gonna get going home it's almost 2" I tell the boys "do you need a ride?" asked Liam "sure why not?' We hopped in his car and drpve to my house. "alright man see you later" said Liam. "see ya" I said as I get out. He takes off down the streets.
As I walked to my house I noticed a similar shadow shape on Kate's porch on top of the stairs. I walked up to her house to see how she's doing. She leaning against the wall smoking a ciggarette looking straight. "Is everything okay?" I asked her. "yeah" she doesn't turn to look at me. I noticed her hand was bruised.
I sat next to her and grabbed her hand "what happened" I asked her. She turned her head not looking at me and keeps smoking her ciggarette. "oh I just punched the wall that's all" she said as she pulls her had away. "Look at me" I tell her. She looks down. I lifted her head to look at me "Are you okay?" i asked "What happened?"
"My stepdad and mom got into a fight" she said. "oh I'm sorry" "it's okay but I gotta go back in to check up on my sister" she said as she stood up and started walking to her door. "sure I'll see you around" I said as she walked in. So I went back to my house to my room and played some more of my game. I can't stop thinking about her especially after tonight. What's going on with you, Kate?
