3. Kate's pov

It's been almost 2 weeks since we moved in. We don't start school for another 3 weeks and my bestfriend Zoey is coming for a few days beofore schoIol starts. "Hey b***h I missed ya" I hugged her as she got out of her car. "I missed ya too b***h" she said laughing. "so what you wannna do? I asked, "there's a carnival in town you wanna go?'

"hell yeah lets go!" she said laughing. I grabbed my keys and we hopped into my car. We headed to the carnival. We spent a few hours there riding the rides. "Wanna get funnel cake to split?" I asked Zoey. "" she answered. As we're in the line I happen to see Conner with his friends. He looks up and see me and waves at me. I waved back. "who is that?" Zoey asked "HIs name is Conner, he lives next door to me" I said to her. "He looks cute" she said

"eh he's alright" I said laughing "But he kinda reminds me of him" I said looking down holding my tears as he came to my mind. it's been almost 2 years since the crash and I've basically been in hell since then. "I know sis I miss him too" she said, "but he's watching over us" she added. "you're right" I said.

I grabbed the funnel cake and we walked to a table and sat down. "how's the family?" I asked her. "They're all doing good Austin misses you" she said. Austin is her 6 years old little brother and he looks up to me. " Awe I miss him too" I said. The past couple days was fun we went shopping for new clothes for school and we basically stayed in my room watching the walking dead. It was our favorite show to watch together. Then it was time for her to leave.

"I'll come and visit soon and surprise Austin" I said as I hug her goodbye. "okay babe I'll call you when I get home" she said as she gets in her car. "you better" I said laughing. Emma and I are in my room watching her favorite movie when I heard a thud coming from upstairs "hey babygirl I'm going upstairs to check in on momma" I said to Emma,

"I'm going to lock my door and remember to go to your hiding place your headphones and iPad should already be in there and just call me and stay there" I added "okay sissy" she hugged me. I made her a secret hiding place where no one but knows where it is. So I grabbed my keys and cigarettes and walked out and locked my doors.

i made my way upstair I can hear the yelling from the living room "It's her damn fault that we had to f*****g moved again!" yelled Luke. Luke's my stepdad, Emma's dad. My dad passed away when I was little. I have little memories of him but I do remember that he was loving, caring and I was his whole world. "you know she's been through alot " momma said. "I don't care she needs to straighten her ass up or else I'll.." you'll do what, huh?" I said as I walked into the living room. "I'll straight you out myself!" he yelled. "you ain't gonna do s**t" I yelled back
