Chapter 1: Birthday Gossip

  Naomi's POV

I woke up to my parents arguing yet again. For some reason, they are always arguing. I thought mates were supposed to be happy and lovey-dovey. But I put that out of my mind for now and get ready for today is special. I am officially 15.

I am 15 years old today and I am having a party and of course, I invited the Alpha's son, my crush and best friend, Jerimiah Williams. I and Jerimiah have been best friends since birth. He was the Alphas son and I was the Betas daughter. I was to be future beta, and Jerimiah was the future Alpha.

"Naomi, Wake up its time for breakfast with the Alpha!!" My mom yelled up the stairs. " I'm already up mom be down soon," I yelled back. My mom is very anal about time. So we always have to leave 10 minutes early to be there on time. On our way over to the Alphas house, I listened to music and sang at the top of my lungs.

After arriving we were greeted by Alpha Blake Williams and Luna Mallory Williams, " Jerimiah is still in his room Naomi, could you go get him?" Alpha Blake told me. "Ok be back soon," I said back and then running off to get my best friend. I get up to Jer's room and he is still sleeping. I jump on him to wake him up " Happy Birthday Jer!!!" I yell in his ear. Oops did I forget to mention Jer and I have the same birthday? He is just one year older than me. He jumped up and screamed. " hahahahaha got ya." I laughed at him.

He pushed me off of him and got up to go to the bathroom. I sprawled myself on his bed and waited. He came back out and jumped on me. I scream in surprise. "Happy Birthday Noami!!" he told me. and got off. he went to his closet and got dressed. He came out in a white shirt and faded jeans. I started to check him out and I felt blood rush to my cheeks. He felt my eyes on him and said " you done checking me out Mi-Mi?" I look away blushing more at his nickname for me. I stick my tongue out at him and laugh.

We head downstairs just in time for breakfast to be served. Our families talk about pack business, while Jer and I bicker amongst ourselves. Both Jer and I are only siblings and we are as close as siblings. "What are we doing for our part Mi-Mi?" Jer asks. "I don't know yet" I respond "Got any ideas?" I add before stuffing my pancakes in my mouth. "I was thinking about a car themed party with games? What do you think?" Jer suggests. "Sounds awesome!" I say with my mouth still full. We both start laughing.

On my way home I tell mom and dad about me and Jer's idea, and they agree with doing it.

I've always had a crush on Jer, but I didn't want to ruin our friendship so I just kept it to myself. As the time for the party came closer, Jer and I started to get ready at his house. We were both excited, we loved our birthday party. No matter how old we were. 15 minutes later we were outside with the pack celebrating our birthday. The party was almost in full swing 30 minutes later. There were car games, cars and bikes, and a big car shaped cake for me and Jer to share and blow out candles.

The time came to cut the cake. Jer and I sat behind the cake with flash from cameras constantly flashing. The pack sang Happy Birthday to us and we blew out our candles. We told each other our wishes as a tradition of our friendship. Then we had a piece of cake and ice cream. and the party kept going for a few more hours. then everyone went their separate ways to their houses for the night.
