She looked so peaceful sleeping. I still couldn’t shake the feeling there was something more to her. I slowly slid out of bed and made my way to my home office; mind linking DeAngelo to meet me there. It didn’t take him long to arrive. I sat behind my large oak desk as DeAngelo made his way to the couch on the opposite side of the room. “Well, what’s the news?” he asked me as he made himself comfortable. I stayed quiet for a few minutes longer, contemplating if I should confide in him about Ember, I knew I could trust him though. DeAngelo was the most loyal member I had and a longtime friend.
