I sat in Gage’s lap, a little impatient, waiting for Athan to start spewing information. Just as I was about to speak again, in an attempt to hurry him up, he fidgeted in his seat a little, “Well, I can tell you about spark shifters, not your powers specifically, and I can tell you about your mother. Which do you prefer to hear first?”
Without missing a beat, “Tell me about my mother first.”
He let out a long, drawn-out breath, “For starters you look exactly like your mother. Same height, hair, eyes, everything.” He lifted one in hand in a stop motion and used his other hand to pull his wallet out of his pocket.
